Lucky Me Intense by Avon

This is a perfume for those looking for an uncommon scent, different and for daring people who dare to wear a scent that not everyone will like, because if you overspray it can be overwhelming for others. You can smell unripe currant, a very distinct champagne note and mandarin with all the peel and even the leaf (this lasts until the end), after a few minutes an orchid note comes out that can feel a bit synthetic and a powerful sandalwood, although it has vanilla I couldn’t call it a vanilla or sweet fragrance, on the contrary it carries a bitter note I assume from the mandarin, and I don’t dislike that. Maybe my review will seem confusing to whoever reads it, because you can’t tell if I like it or not and that’s exactly it. In cold weather I can wear it sparingly, if it’s hot it can end up smelling like insecticide. It lasts about 4 or 5 hours with moderate sillage. I recommend trying before wearing.

This perfume arrived today that I already wanted to try because of its excellent reviews. “I loved it”. I define it as a powerful, intense but fresh perfume, not overwhelming or cloying. It’s like a meticulously crafted cocktail, unique. I can’t find it similar to any other yet, however, to give you an idea, it’s in the style of Versace Yellow Diamond and Right Crystal. But note, “it doesn’t smell like them” but they share “that style of fragrance”. Meaning if you like those Versace perfumes, most likely you’ll like Lucky Me. Lasting power approx. 5/6 hours with good strength and I’ve noticed that after it dries down it’s even richer than in the opening… I really liked it, and on top of that its bottle is beautiful with that gradient between pink and violet that makes it very decorative on the vanity. So I highly recommend it.

I love it!!! yes, it improves in the dry-down, about 5 minutes after applying it changes and a sweet but not cloying fragrance settles for a long time, vanilla-like and floral and the champagne liquor note remains, although the mix reminds me of a cocktail afternoon. It smells like that, a glamorous cocktail. I find it original and it makes me happy. I would buy it again.

I am somewhat confused with this fragrance, I expected to feel the champagne note up front, in the style of Avon’s Extraordinary and I couldn’t find it, I only found currants and vanilla, which if it weren’t for the particularly synthetic aroma, would be almost the same as Natura’s Likes or Curtidas de Humor. At first sniff I was quite disappointed not to feel the champagne…. with the passing of the hours I liked feeling that it still lasted both on clothes and on skin, that is the most positive thing about this perfume along with its packaging which is quite “cute”. I consider it a good option if in your countries the Curtidas de Humor or Likes is discontinued or even an affordable version of Ilia Secreto. Update: in the dry-down I love it, it reminds me of Avon’s Mesmerize from the 90s, it perfumes clothes for days and days and I still feel it even after showering on skin, it is a very good perfume that evolves with the passing of the hours, it starts somewhat synthetic and strange but then settles into a delight of red fruits and champagne. Very nice.

Champagne, golden amber and vanilla bean. I get the boozy champagne note mostly in the opening of the perfume, however once it settles the amber note stands out, it is heavy and bitter, which leaves me not fully convinced. I would describe it as an oriental white floral, slightly powdery (vanilla). It has vintage perfume traits, which I don’t see as a negative, since I like this kind of fragrance, however I had other expectations, I thought it would be more youthful and sparkling, it is not. I recommend, if possible, trying it before buying it.

Floral, boozy, vanilla-like, powdery. Gardenia is the star, you can feel the champagne from the start, during the life of the perfume what you feel is a boozy gardenia, with sandalwood and vanilla. It is NOT a fragrance for daytime, nor for hot days, it will overwhelm you, but in the cold or on rainy days it is very enjoyable ❤. It can be youthful, it has quite a lot of character. Its longevity for a catalog fragrance is high, 5 to 6 hours on skin and on clothes it lasts until washed. Its sillage is moderate to strong.

It’s a unique cocktail with no direct dupes, but if you like Versace Yellow Diamond or Right Crystal, this is your style. Lasts 5-6 hours with high intensity and gets richer as it dries down. The pink-violet gradient bottle is gorgeous and decorative. Highly recommended.

I think it’s beautiful; I’ve received so many compliments, so it’s not just for me. Lasts all day on skin and clothes; if you get hugged, the scent clings to them and they still smell like you the next day. Fantastic! I’d just love to know if it’s inspired by any designer or niche fragrance.

If it weren’t for the synthetic smell, it would be almost identical to Curtidas de Humor or Likes by Natura. I have it and really like it; I use it when I miss it because I haven’t worn it in weeks. It’s mysterious and powerful; I can smell the sillage up to 3 hours after spraying, but the perfume persists on me for 6-8 hours. I think I’ll buy it again when I finish this bottle.
