The scent is a delight, super elegant citrus. The problem is that from the moment you apply it, you notice the longevity will be short… A fragrance for summer and climates ranging from hot to scorching where anything else might feel overwhelming.
Another great fragrance that seems like it’s about to be discontinued, at least here in Spain. It’s the softer version of the 001 line, unisex. Compared to the 001 EDT Man, it’s made for hotter days. It’s not very different, but it’s less dense, a bit more citrusy, and less sweet in the dry down. It uses iris instead of cinnamon, which suits it perfectly and smells cleaner, though less warm. Although it doesn’t last as long as the EDT, keep in mind it still lasts six or seven hours with moderate projection, which is great for something so fresh. Same accord family as the 001 EDT Man but much more desirable for summer. Same principles: clean, austere, original scent, high quality, and good performance. It has nothing to do with Dior Homme Cologne; it’s more like its sisters in the 001 line. If you squint, it’s in the same ballpark as Zara’s Livre Blanc or Alyssa Ashley’s Musk, but with better quality and presence. Or like Loewe’s Agua de Loewe but without the white floral and with more musk. If you can find it cheap and you’re a fan of the 001 line, go for it. The 001 EDT and EDP are neutral/clean perfumes with lots of good musk, elegant and high quality, ideal for fall and winter, but in hot summer they can be suffocating. This Cologne fills that gap, offering that style but softer and more refined, perfect for rotating into the heat. Don’t go crazy, the aroma is broadly very similar to the 001 EDT Man, so smelling this gives you a good idea. If you search hard, you can still find it at a good price in Spain… Salu2.
What a pity it’s almost impossible to get your hands on… I find it more versatile than the 001 Man EDT. While it starts off super citrusy, once it settles, the DNA of the Man EDT comes through, which is why I see it as more masculine.
