  This Chanel cologne has the foundation of all eau de colognes, the heir to Jean Marie Farina. It’s a classic creation with artisanal touches that surprises with its minimalism and naturalness. It’s elegant and purist: it opens strong with citrus, natural lemon, lime peel, bergamot, and lemon leaves giving a green touch, like unripe lime. The petit grain adds depth. After 15-20 minutes, the green acidity turns spicy, with a nod to ginger root and floral neroli, adding a milky sweetness. By the hour, the spice becomes sweet, fresh, and soft, leaving a subtle amber musk trail. It stays close to the skin and lasts about two hours. It’s surprising for the quality of ingredients and structure. Does it resemble Moschino Uomo? Only in the opening and middle phase; then they diverge, though they get confused. Sillage is half an hour, close to the skin for two hours. It’s a pleasure thanks to its simplicity and quality.

  Wow! The Barzelatto Aged Eau de Cologne is exquisite. It has a fantastic similarity, and considering the price and quality, I’d keep this one. I’d even say it’s a blend of 4711 and Loewe Pour Homme.

  As the name suggests, it smells like a classic cologne you’ve known forever. It starts with non-acidic citrus, balanced by a bitter peel, perhaps orange or green lemon. Then comes the petit grain and the green notes, but not sharp—rather fresh and grounded, likely due to those warm notes I can’t quite identify. If you simplify it, it smells like lemon tea or lemongrass. It lasts 4-5 hours with a soft projection.
