Tried with a decant, and it’s one of the most enchanting fragrances I’ve ever smelled, and almost no one can hate it. It’s timeless, perfect for any age and situation, even a first date. Maybe not ideal for noisy parties with heavy olfactory competition. It opens citrusy then shifts into a rich, bright fruity sweetness. It’s fairly linear, with the overall accord standing out over individual notes. It’s not cheap, but not excessive for niche. The only drawback is longevity: at 17 degrees, it lasts 5-6 hours. If it had more presence, it’d be a 10, but as it is, a 9. I already have it in my collection for office or daytime use; very comfortable.

L’Humaniste Extreme opens with a brutal burst of cardamom, citrus, and pink pepper, reminiscent of Aqua Vitae Forte or Santalla. However, the heart becomes linear, like a classic 90s cologne, featuring tart quince and neroli. Projection is strong for the first hour, but longevity sits at 6-7 hours. It sounds great for spring or autumn formal events, but the price in Europe no longer justifies what it offers. Worth testing on skin before buying, as paper notes can be misleading.
