  Isle of Man isn’t bad at all. The first thing I noticed was that salty, warm touch. It usually pairs with fresh, ozonic notes, but here after a while, warm woods and dry vetiver take over. The opening is energetic and refreshing, with the zing of citrus and the creamy greenness of basil. Then comes a light, spicy, slightly sweet note, like honey. The citrus becomes softer, fruity, and fresh without being sharp. That sweetness starts to turn floral, alternating with a muted green wood base that gradually gains strength. I think that floral honey is a blend of bitter orange, freesia, and violet, though I don’t smell them separately; it’s more of a plump sweetness mixing with fermented wood, creating the fragrance’s masculinity. In the end, after about four hours (it lasted six on my skin, which isn’t bad), it gains more sweetness with a bitter touch, turning into a sweaty, sweet, musky potion. I wonder if this has happened to you: being on a motorcycle outdoors in the afternoon, with the sea salt, the smell of engine and asphalt mixing with your hot, sweaty body under the sun. It sounds weird, I know, but it’s very similar to this fragrance. Definitely interesting.
