A sales associate at a department store applied this fragrance to me. The opening is fresh, citrusy, and aquatic—nothing groundbreaking, smells like water, fresh, and masculine, a bit herbal. It’s a very artificial scent, consumer-grade or gift-style; not bad, it’s a safe and pleasant bet for ambient wear, giving off a freshly showered masculine vibe… but up close or after wearing it for a while, it feels quite artificial, like P.R. Invictus. The base, at least for me, can be dense or annoying if you sweat; that’s the most artificial part (plastic-like). Very generic and artificial. One of the few from this brand I’ve heard of that never attracted me, just like Carolina and Gucci, etc. I think L’Eau Kenzo Intense tries to compete with Invictus on the aquatic/fresh/masculine style and the herbal heart (basil vs. laurel in Invictus).

  • This fragrance is way richer than Invictus; it beats it hands down. Invictus starts good but then fades into nothing, this one doesn’t.

Easy-to-wear fragrance that everyone enjoys; it’s gotten thousands of compliments. People compare it to Invictus—it’s a similar style, but they only resemble each other when it’s very close to the skin. I like Invictus but would never buy it again because it’s so overused, so I choose and stick with this one every time. Another alternative with better performance is Kenzo Homme EDP.

  • The bottle copies Abercrombie First Instinct Blue with Kenzo, but olfactively it has nothing to do with P.R. Invictus. This Kenzo is more floral and aquatic; I like it better because it lacks that synthetic sweetness of Invictus. They made it so no one would dislike it, not risking anything bold or trend-setting. If asked if I’d buy it again, yes, but only at tester price—I wouldn’t pay full retail. It’s certainly pleasant, and girls love it.

Picked this up in 2020 (50ml) looking for something fresh and easy-going, and it delivers: it’s fresh but has depth thanks to the cedar and vetiver. Smells like a classic men’s fragrance—blue and versatile, perfect for daytime, though it does get slightly sweeter. I suspect it has extra ambroxan; the bottle has that nice transparent blue look, but the cap doesn’t seal well. Bottom line: nice, safe, and versatile, but basic; I wouldn’t buy it again for my own taste, though it works for all seasons. Rating: 7/10.
