Wow, this is brutal! It’s the dirtiest flanker of them all. While the opening of Absolue left me fascinated, this one doesn’t leave me indifferent. The dry down features a slightly dirty raspberry note from the pepper, and as it settles, you get a sweet, slightly intoxicating oud. The finish is woody with suede and earthy touches, without losing that dark raspberry sweetness in the background. Despite the ambroxan, there’s no powdery vibe here. For me, it’s totally unisex and very sexy. If you love the earthy patchouli in the dry down, you’ll adore it. What a shame it’s limited edition; it should have made it into the L’Art & La Matière collection. I’ll have to grab backups before it disappears.
