Expectations were high: I expected something dense, with brandied cherry and lots of leather, darker than the original. It’s just less fruity and tart, sweet but less sugary. The leather is only theoretical because I don’t feel it on my skin; it’s cherry with licorice and lots of musk. Don’t misunderstand me, it’s a good perfume, but it’s not a dark, dense liqueur. It’s pleasant and less teenage than the original, less sparkly. It has good trail and longevity, though not beastly. Recommended, but don’t have too many expectations; it’s not that different from the original.

  • The opening is similar to its mother, but more tart—an elegant and sexy cherry, ideal for a date. Minutes later, the cherry fades and rose and leather appear; I could use it as a gentleman because the sweetness is subtle. By the hour, the tart cherry returns, identical to the LPRB opening. I have a 10ml decant and the original, so I doubt I’ll buy it because, although I liked it, I prefer different scents in my collection.

  • Smells sweet, like brandied cherry. The bottle is gorgeous. Seems good for a casual evening out or cool to cold weather; in heat, it can be overwhelming because the opening is potent, almost like syrup, but after two hours, it lightens to something softer. It’s not very complex, just two phases that don’t clash. It’s very feminine with a touch of mischief and darkness, like a naughty girl or a teenager escaping at night. I don’t think perfumes have an age, but they have an attitude: this one is for a cool, laid-back, and fun woman.

  • What a powerhouse! It’s potent, and yet on my skin, it doesn’t last even as long as Alien. It lasts over twelve hours, with the first five being quite strong. The opening smells like tart cherry with licorice, incisive notes floating in the room. Then the cherry turns bittersweet, sticky, and dense. I think it’s unisex; it has no gender. It was a blind buy, and I have no regrets.

  • It’s pretty. It could be prettier if they added more rose. The leather masculinizes it, which is why I see it as unisex. But for women, it lacks a more feminine note. It would be fabulous.

  • Cherry, leather, and roses in a unique combination. I bought it blind and hated it at first; I smelled an aerosol insecticide and regretted the purchase. Until I tried it again, and it was pure love. I didn’t understand why I deprived myself of this beauty due to a bad first impression, probably because of the leather (I used sweet perfumes, and this was my first contrast). The opening is intense cherry, not cloying, like a mentholated candy. Then the leather appears, getting stronger, alongside the rose. I sense a faint licorice touch. It’s unisex, lasts 8-9 hours, and the trail is moderate to heavy. Not for the office or blending in; it’s for going out with friends or for that person you want to be remembered by. Already one of my favorites, and I bought another bottle. Too bad they discontinued it.

  • Love it or hate it: it either kills you or you kill it. In my case, I hated it. I tried it in different climates and moments, and simply no. It smells like bus air freshener, brassy, and gave me nausea. I bought it for the trail reviews, but on my skin, it projected nothing. Lasts about 5-6 hours; by the end, it’s more tolerable as sweet flowers, but the first three hours were a torture. I gifted it to my mom, and on her, it smells like tart cherry with elegant woods and leather. It’s not bad, just didn’t click with my skin. Do not recommend buying it blindly.

  • I’ve wanted this for ages, snagged it on promo and another blind buy (oops, I did it again). It’s an aroma where if you don’t love it, you hate it; there’s no middle ground. On my skin, cherry, leather, and rose dominate; I feel wrapped in them. Perfect for cold nights or intense autumn. If you don’t like roses, forget it, because they always scream ‘hello!’. Too bad I neglected it and now it’s discontinued. The black bottle is gorgeous all around.

An unconventional perfume; if you’re daring and like to be different and original, this is the option. Love/Hate????…..not at all……I LOVE IT…… A Guerlain masterpiece.

  • Well, I have it on the back of my hand and I’m relaxed, reclining; I wanted to test it well on skin under conditions of intimacy and introspection. Without a doubt, the depth this perfume has with the cherry pushed by that black tea enhanced with patchouli elevates it to an excellent point of expression: a red velvet carpet, a shiny new car seat, it’s possible the leather accord is achieved with the union of these notes.. (?) maybe it’s the shell and not so much the almond as food; our olfactory perception when bringing it to our mouth is more like what I’m referring to. It’s a more velvety sensation; here there’s nothing gourmand; here there’s a ride in a luxury car from the 60s with leather and velvet seats, parked in the middle of a cherry orchard having tea at sunset. I feel that if I inhale too much, it will get me drunk in an unexpected way, intoxicatingly delicious and elegant, and this elegance comes from the tips that peek out, accompanying this exotic tea; I insist on this note because it’s very noticeable. Then, the licorice, rose, and tonka bean highlight and extraordinarily enhance the sensation on my skin; the inverse is true, as this trio of notes stands out even more against that amber, purple, and pearlescent base, announcing it will last until the end of the olfactory journey that invites our senses; and, justly, not being the middle notes as their description in the pyramid might suggest, is what should remain as the base scent. I can assure you that the most tricky note, in a good way, is the black musk; those are the black, shining feathers, along with that crimson carpet it has turned into, sumptuous and forever. Until you want to take her by the hand, and how awake you are for her. It’s a sin to say that before this journey, I had mentally noted that its trail is mischievous and its presence stands out in open environments with intermediate temperatures and good breeze; it has an extremely long projection if there’s any wind. The aura it generates confers a certain peace without lowering the guard; maybe it’s a too polarizing fragrance for some people, regardless of their gender, of course. I have to add that there’s a slight chocolatey touch and a certain hint of iris? Admiring the complexity of this perfume suddenly takes me on a different course; these smiling metrosexual guys, from families and traditions, have gone out for drinks between chains, spots, and leathers to some dark, humid place; maybe an underground tavern where some unknown resins, cherry-colored petroleum, shelter us among brothers/sisters on the way, resonating with intermittent toasts.

  • They say you either love or hate this perfume. I love it 😍 It’s beautiful, refined, intriguing; it’s… perfect ❤️ I got a 50ml bottle since I bought it blind; I hope to get a larger one soon before it disappears from the map, as I think they’ve already discontinued it. Longevity +12 hours. High trail for the first 2 hours, then moderate, and finally softens to skin-level until +12 hours. It seems almost perfect for all year round, but definitely a perfume I’d wear more at night, not for going to a nightclub (it’s too refined for those places 😅). In autumn and winter, it’s a hit; in these seasons, I even see it for daytime use. However, in spring it would also have potential for cool nights. In summer, we could try nighttime use, but I’d avoid extreme heat nights (in my country, summer nights reach 35 or 38°C 😅); I’ll try it this summer to see how it goes 😁 I expected no less from Thierry Wasser; a fragrance worthy of Guerlain ❤️

  • Whenever I wear it, I receive compliments from women, and honestly, I’d love to smell it on a female partner. I perceive the animal side of the black musk and the leather on my skin very strongly, giving it a deep power, contrasted with the freshness of the licorice and the acidic cherry, which sweetens a bit as it dries down but never enough to call it a soft scent; its ‘sweetness’ instead makes it deeper and stronger. Recommended to wear it with a full dark makeup look and dark clothes; the scent tells the story of a rock band vocalist or guitarist with heavy black ‘siren eyes’ eyeliner and messy hair, haha. Not for everyone or every occasion; it comes with a very defined personality.

This perfume is amazing. A beauty. It has transformed into one of my most addictive and favorite scents… I bought it blind and feared it would be the same as LPRN (I own the first and Intense versions), but no! I was pleasantly surprised by a totally juicy cherry, a totally playful cherry (without being childish). The leather note feels very light, almost imperceptible… But I can assure you that this note enhances the other notes in an alchemical way. I also feel the tea note fabulously combined with the cherry 🍒… which gives it a touch of certain freshness… like ripe cherries 🍒 freshly cut. Moderate trail, but it doesn’t go unnoticed, and very good longevity; it lasts me more than 10 hours. Definitely one of my favorites ♥️

  • I’m obsessed. I tried it with a decant and ended up buying the bottle. I don’t detect the cherry or licorice notes. To me, it opens as an almond and liqueur scent. It evokes sensations similar to the opening of Hypnotic Poison by CD. Then it dries down and the rose becomes noticeable. Finally, it seems like leather, though very soft. It reminds me of the original Alaïa, another fetish perfume I can no longer restock. I think you shouldn’t buy it blindly because it’s nothing ordinary and can be disappointing. I see it for any occasion, more for night than day. But it’s still wearable if you control the amount (2 sprays are perfect). I’m obsessed with it, honestly.

  • I can’t believe what this perfume is. Sexy. Cherry-forward. Alcoholic. The leather flies off. Intense and sexy perfume: this is it. It’s addictive. The cherry accompanies the entire evolution of the scent. The almond gives it a unique sweetness, and the leather adds intensity. Whoever says that Good Girl by CH is the ultimate femme fatale… they haven’t felt this masterpiece.

  • I really wanted to like it. I had high expectations; every time I saw the notes, I thought I’d be fascinated. Finally, I got to try it, and unfortunately, I hated it. I only feel like a fragrance I’d wear during the dry-down. The opening generated immediate rejection. I love the spicy notes, but it felt like too much. Anyway, I tested the dry-down in a hurry without stopping to appreciate each note or the evolution properly, but since the opening turned me off, I didn’t want to try it again either 🙁

If rock had a scent, it would be Black Perfecto. Cherry, almond, and leather. Nocturnal and wintery. Lasts about 8 hours on skin, much longer on clothes.

  • BeatrizBlackwood

It’s often thought that EDPs have a higher concentration than EDTs, and sometimes that’s true, but in the case of LPRN BP EDP, due to its declared notes, it’s different from its younger brother. I like this perfume, it’s a wonder, but on my skin, what stands out most are the almonds, black tea, and occasionally the leather. If you still have a chance to get it, I recommend it for high winter, at night, and max three sprays.

  • What can you say about this mysterious and attractive beauty? LPRN Black Perfecto EDP is a cherry, rose, licorice, and sweet leather bomb that fell in love with me immediately. Tired of ‘candy’ perfumes, when I smelled this I went crazy, finally finding a fragrance that awakens the senses and evokes an elegant, sophisticated, mysterious, rebellious, strong, and powerful woman. Don’t fear the leather note; it’s not strong or coarse, it’s delicate and exquisite. It never reminded me of anything masculine; quite the opposite; with that cherry and rose, everything blends and results in absolute balance. It was a distinct scent, and I suppose that’s why they stopped making it; nowadays, mass appeal is just smelling freshly baked cookies and not something different… A black gem that I hope gets remade!

Cherry, leather, and almond are the stars. One of my favorites is Guerlain L’Homme Ideal Eau de parfum; I went to try this Black Perfecto because its notes are very similar and it’s practically the same perfume in a different bottle. About 90% alike, with this one being slightly sweeter, I emphasize ‘slightly’. Still, Black Perfecto has much better projection and longevity than L’Homme Ideal EDP, making it much better overall. It has a powerful trail where you’re noticed wherever you go and a longevity on my skin of over 8 hours. An all-rounder for autumn. The bottle is pure luxury. Another great Guerlain bomb.

  • Literally a bomb of a perfume. Months ago I considered buying one with cherry as the star, hesitated a lot with Mancera Wild Cherry, but that artificial, chemical scent, similar to cleaning products, combined with the powdery iris root, made me want to discard it. With Guerlain L’Homme Ideal EDP, with that higher-quality, sweeter cherry, I arrived at this perfume from the same house. When I found out it was discontinued, my obsession grew until, after weeks of searching, I found it on a Facebook group: it was new and belonged to a man whose wife hated that overly sweet cherry, so he kept this relic for years. Despite being a 2017 batch, its quality is on another level and its potency is unmatched. It has similarities to L’Homme Ideal EDP, but it’s easily 4 or 5 times more potent. You can really feel the cherry, rose, and leather; after about 10 hours, the musk in the base becomes noticeable. It’s very different, nothing discreet. Ideal for extremely cold days or night outings. Impossible to wear with heat or sportswear, even if you try to ignore those codes; this Guerlain masterpiece forces me to respect them. Truly a gem that didn’t get the fame it deserved to mass-produce, and luckily I have it in my collection. A perfume made to rock, enjoy, and captivate. A wonder, 10/10.

  • Just received this spectacular bomb, one of my last blind buys. On first impression, roses, leather, and licorice hit me hard; I haven’t found the cherry yet. It feels clean, very clean. Smells like an expensive perfume, distinct, niche-like. In an era where everyone smells the same, this is the exception. Can everyone enjoy it? I don’t think so. Love or hate? Neither. I’m testing it today at 33 degrees; I consider it will perform best in cold climates. I feel it’s a night scent, but it could easily be worn during the day at an event without over-spraying. The projection seems potent. I’ll test it more and add my skin longevity later. Just to clarify, the batch is from 2017.

  • Adri Zavala

Definitely not for blind buying. This Black Perfecto smells of edge; a bad girl in a leather jacket with red lips at night. The almonds and cherry give it an intoxicating sweetness, but the leather and patchouli make this a spectacular combination. This is my second bottle, batch 2017. I love it.

  • leonleon93

I didn’t smell anything but cough syrup and a hint of licorice. For me, it was a total letdown, and as always when a perfume doesn’t click: it lasts forever, haha. I bought it, tried it three times, and let it go. Now that time has passed, I’d love to try it again, but at the time, it couldn’t have seemed further from what everyone says. It is true that it resembles Lolita Lempicka fragrances. I can’t help but mention its gorgeous black glass bottle—heavy, mysterious, imposing, spectacular. Unfortunately, that image didn’t match the scent. Don’t buy it blind unless you know and love that synthetic candied cherry note.

  • Goldcherry19

It’s a heavy, dense scent; it doesn’t evoke cherry or anything to balance that density, nor does it feel sweet or fresh. Maybe it will work better when it’s freezing outside.

  • It’s the Petite Robe Noire version ‘damn it all’. I like the Intense a lot, but this has a rock-and-roll/bold touch that the original and other flankers lack. What a pity they discontinued it because it’s the best bottle. To me, the little dress drawing looks like a considerable cliché.

  • Kaarenruizg

Finally managed to snag a small bottle of Guerlain Black Perfecto after months of searching; saw that several girls are looking for it, so I’ll share my thoughts. Compared to Petite Robe Noire Intense, I have mixed feelings because I idealized it as something very different, but upon spraying, they’re about 80% alike. The black note comes out 20% more intense, spicier, and less sweet than the Intense, which is why people say it smells like liquor. As it evolves, the cherry fades and the cotton candy disappears, but you can definitely detect the leather and rose. When it dries down, they smell almost identical, except the Black is less sweet. If you collect the Petite Robe flankers and love Guerlain, it’s worth it; if you already own the Intense and aren’t a fan, you can live without it. It’s a great perfume, but in my opinion, the Intense is more versatile and gets more mileage out of it, while the Black I’d only wear on cold nights.

  • Finally got a 100ml bottle, a blind buy guided by notes because it’s Guerlain and by reviews. I couldn’t be happier. Black Perfecto is perfect black and almost absolute, with acidic cherry over black leather, roses, licorice, almonds, and typical Guerlain patchouli. Sober, elegant, and very dark; in other words, PERFECT. The opening is from another planet, spectacular.

  • BeatrizBlackwood

Some perfumes caress; this one drags. Like a slow, dark bass riff, Black Perfecto doesn’t settle, it imposes. You wear it generously, as if tattooing yourself with acidic cherry and almond; the rising leather is an echo of dense heavy metal. At 75°F (24°C) in a boring work environment, this perfume is another planet. It doesn’t invade, it conquers. It tastes like gothic rose, black tea, subversive licorice, tonka, and uncensored patchouli. A woman who doesn’t ask if she can enter, she simply does. And if she bothers, so be it.

  • Just received it and I’m in love. It’s dark, sweet, and elegant without being delicate. The bitter almond is delicious, the cherry isn’t cloying or syrupy; the rose is very delicate, and the licorice and leather give it presence.

  • juliaguilera

I haven’t let it rest yet because I used it right after receiving it. It’s very rich; I’m a gourmand lover and always struggled with red fruits, but Guerlain makes it excellent. The cherry is like in others, but the blend is so homogeneous that some say it’s distorted. It’s sweet and acidic, balanced; not synthetic caramel nor as acidic as CH’s VGG. The almond adds bitterness, the licorice is felt all the time, and the rose lowers the tone a bit. In the heart, the cherry disappears and the leather stands out. The base has confused me because it smells different every time, as if the notes are trying to get along. Lately, the base is sweet, with tonka over the leather and cherry in the background. I’m a gourmand lover with basic tastes, but sometimes I complicate things. I bought it blind, afraid I wouldn’t like it, and had plans to sell it, but I’m relieved it’s delicious and highlights the sweetness on my skin. If you like Guerlain’s cherry and roses, licorice, and leather, you’ve found a bargain and are willing to try it for a few days (it might be confusing at first), go for it. If you have a Plan B in case of failure, better. Versatility: 7/10, I see it’s soft and usable in many occasions, even daily (though I won’t due to the difficulty finding it). Performance: low projection, but lasts longer on hair or clothes. Gender: my boyfriend tried it and confirmed it knocks his socks off. It’s not just unisex, it’s suitable for bisexuals 👍

  • Second review: it’s proof that if you identify with a perfume, you notice a versatility others don’t. Many say ‘only for winter’ or ‘special occasions,’ but if you identify with it, you wear it every day. Fascinating.

  • Inevitably compared to La Petite Robe Noire: the cherry keeps its DNA but darkened. Juicy, liquorish opening, then rose with black tea and a thread of Lempicka licorice that melts together. As it settles, a polished, clean leather enters, the most nocturnal gesture. I bought it discontinued, and it evokes a teenage girl going out at night, painting red lips in the car, pretending to be an adult. Black Perfecto has that duality: the gourmand girl playing at being older and the mature, rock-and-roll boldness. It tastes like mischief and mystery.

  • oliendobonito

If you like leather and cherry, you’ll love this. They are the stars with a sharp, intense accord; the cherry doesn’t smell like cough syrup. It’s strong, sexy, and full of personality, ideal for cold weather. Lasts 9-10 hours on clothes with moderate projection. If you have a sensitive nose or get headaches from intense notes, don’t buy it. It’s not easy or accommodating, not for everyone, and don’t buy blind.

  • Reminds me of Cherry Punk, but this one performs better. The opening is rich, masculine leather, followed by a sweet cherry (like a jabato) wrapping around a dark, sharp maraschino. It blends divinely with that leather, which fades but lingers to support everything. Delicious and dark ❤️
