This fragrance is addictive and attractive for the night. I liked the original Joop Homme, and I like this one a bit more, although to be ‘Extreme’ it’s not much stronger, practically the same. It has a note in the opening that smells like watermelon to me. It’s a good perfume, perhaps more of an English taste. The presentation is nice with its body wash. You’re sure to get asked what you’re wearing. It’s rich, with excellent longevity and a trail from moderate to heavy, but in a good way. The price is excellent. I give it a pass because it’s different from everything else.
This fragrance is super addictive and perfect for night out. I liked Joop Homme, but this one I like even more, although since it’s Extreme, I don’t notice it being much stronger—it’s practically the same in potency. There’s a top note I can’t quite identify, but to me it smells like watermelon, haha. It’s a good perfume, maybe more of an English taste. The packaging is beautiful with its matching shower gel to make it even more enveloping, and people will definitely ask what you’re wearing. Overall, it’s rich with excellent longevity, a moderate to heavy trail that’s good, though not the best. The price is excellent; I give it a solid pass because it’s different from everything else.
It arrived yesterday and I absolutely love it—a blind buy with zero regrets. At first, it smells very similar to Joop Homme with a leather note; I was hoping for more leather, but it’s still very pleasant. If my nose isn’t deceiving me, once it dries down, there’s a faint resemblance to Dior’s Fahrenheit among its notes. Great perfume, good quantity and quality at a great price.
I received it yesterday and I liked it a lot. It was a blind buy and I have no regrets. At first, it has a similarity to Joop Homme with a touch of leather; I expected more leather, but it’s not bad, very pleasant. And if my sense of smell isn’t failing me, at the end of the dry-down, it faintly smells like Dior Fahrenheit. Good perfume, good quantity and quality at a great price.
On my skin, only the leather note shows up, nothing else.
I bought it blind. It’s not a bad perfume, but the classic is much better. It’s less intense, but darker. I recommend trying it before buying.
I love Joop! Homme, and this is the flanker that attracted me the most. The name ‘Extreme’ had me crazy, but in the end, it’s not more intense or longer-lasting than the original. I got a small letdown, but the scent makes up for it hands down. It’s dark, seductive, and magnetic, with the eighties essence of the original but more restrained. The opening is a cherry-cocoa jam, like a red fruit dessert. Then comes a plastic floral note over patchouli and leather, with a woody and wilted floral base, very carnal and addictive. Moderate-to-high performance, between 7 and 8 hours. It’s a versatile nighttime perfume. Warning: if you don’t like the original, you won’t like this either because of that synthetic touch that I absolutely love.
I absolutely love Joop! Homme, and this flanker is the one that has drawn me in the most since its launch; the ‘Extreme’ and ‘Eau de Toilette Intense’ names just have something catchy, haha. I’d been hunting for it for ages, but every time I found it, the price was sky-high, or the website didn’t ship to Spain. Anyway, getting a bottle at a good price was tough, but the wait was totally worth it; I stumbled upon a great online deal and it shipped right to my door. The subtitle ‘Extreme’ and its ‘Eau de Toilette Intense’ classification had me hooked, especially since I love the original, and if this was more extreme, well… imagine me drooling like crazy, but… NO, it’s not more intense, nor longer-lasting, nor does it project more than the original, and I’m not comparing it to the vintage version of the original, mind you, I mean the current one. In that regard, I got a small letdown, but on the other hand, it more than makes up for it with its scent, I LOVE IT!! Joop! Homme Extreme is a dark, seductive, and magnetic fragrance, it’s mind-blowing, and despite being from 2014, it carries the powerhouse eighties essence of the original, though, of course, much more restrained. The opening is like a tart cherry syrup mixed with dark cocoa powder. It’s like a red fruit dessert dusted with cocoa powder, a total delight without being overly sweet. Then, a plasticky floral note (Hedione) kicks in, like a nod to the original, sitting atop a base of patchouli and leather, gorgeous, and all of this with a slight residual red tint that, even if it doesn’t smell the same, constantly reminds you of its origins. It’s a sensation of sweet powdered black chocolate, woody, with a musty and dirty floral tone, but everything is very carnal and sexual, it’s addictive, I don’t know how to explain it, but it’s truly beautiful. The performance is moderate-to-high, lasting between 7 and 8 hours on skin, though the last ones are very close to the skin. The trail is very intense for the first hour, then drops to moderate, which isn’t bad, but it’s nothing like ‘extreme’ as the name suggests. I feel like it’s a night perfume for any season, and for cold weather, it can be worn day or night, though that depends on personal taste, but for me, it’s very versatile. Be careful with this fragrance, because like its mother scent, it’s not for everyone. If you like the original, you’ll almost certainly like this one, but if, on the contrary, you don’t like the original, you probably won’t like this one either, because it carries that synthetic and plasticky hallmark of the original, which I adore and others don’t, so be very careful before buying blind.
Hello… Smelling it reminded me of my grandma’s perfume, haha. Yes, I’ve sensed it before, it’s not that bad, but it feels like a woman’s scent. In conclusion, I didn’t like it.
It’s not for everyone. The first impression is a slap of raw, tough leather during the first hour, reminiscent of Kolmaz Arabi Cana. Then the cocoa gradually takes over, but the leather doesn’t disappear. It’s intense and lasts about 12 hours. A risky perfume for Autumn and Winter in a nighttime setting.
Joop! Applause. Incredible power and a bohemian seducer. Hard to imagine it’s for little kids looking for freshness. It’s a more wearable but wilder flanker, bitter and rough. It has the Joop DNA mixed with bitter cocoa and a sweet leather that smells like new shoe soles. Then comes a berry jam and sometimes a neroli flower. It’s like Mugler’s ‘Pure’ editions: always with something of the original. Good construction for a seducer going to hunt in bars. Maybe ‘Extreme’ is too much; a real extreme would be mixing this with YSL Opium.
In my journey through the world of perfumes, I’ve tried everything, and nothing has been this bad. Brands like Davidoff or Armaf I do like, but Joop Extreme leaves no mark. No fireworks. I agree with other users: it’s not for everyone. It sounds very synthetic and artificial, with a strange opening that improves a bit later. It’s not a real ‘extreme,’ not even for today’s commercial perfumes. In my case, there’s no connection.
I don’t know what happened to me; I got swept up in the reviews and bought this crap… And sorry if that sounds harsh, but it smells like cheap perfume, exactly what it is. It only serves to remind us of the worst scents in perfumery. There’s no leather or cocoa; it’s just cheap patchouli and a sweet mix that lasts five minutes. Someone must like it, but as a gift, it’s like a revenge present. No woman will come close to you with this. I’m sorry, it’s a pity. My advice: try it and let it dry for two hours before deciding.
I have no idea what I just bought… I let myself be swayed by the reviews and ended up buying this garbage… And sorry to anyone who finds the term offensive, but this smells cheap, like a budget fragrance. Well, that’s exactly what it is. Fragrances like this are only made to remind us of the worst scents in perfumery. They shouldn’t be selling trash like this. On the bright side, I had a new olfactory experience. Unpleasant, but at least an experience. This doesn’t smell like leather anywhere, nor does it smell like cocoa. It smells like cheap patchouli and a sweet blend at the start that lasts a measly five minutes. There must be someone out there who likes wearing this thing… Now I need to figure out who I’m going to gift this garbage to; I don’t know who to blame for this torture, because more than a gift, it’s like revenge. No woman who smells this on you will ever be close to you again, unless she has COVID and has lost her sense of smell. I truly feel bad writing this; it’s almost pitiful. My advice: try it and let it dry for at least two hours to see if you can stand it. Then decide whether to buy it or not.
