Descripción
Jaguar Classic Red by Jaguar is an aromatic woody fragrance for men. Launched in 2013, the nose behind this composition is Karine Dubreuil-Sereni. The top notes unfold with raspberry, blueberry, and bergamot; the heart reveals black pepper, jasmine, and ozonic notes; while the base settles on tonka bean, vanilla, amber, cedar, and patchouli.

Jaguar Classic Red is a fruity oriental fragrance, yes, but very sweet. The scent is pleasant, though I notice something synthetic; it’s not bothersome to wear. It features a red fruit base with a good load of vanilla, amber, and tonka bean. Raspberry and black currants mark the beginning, but over time it becomes a generic aroma, typical of other brands, though still pleasant. If brands like Ralph Lauren or YSL carried it, it would have more fame. It’s great for autumn, casual use, or couple outings thanks to its sweetness. The best part is that it’s cheap and lasts about 10 hours, ideal for less demanding tastes.
I liked the opening of Jaguar Classic Red: sweet but wearable. As it dries down, the raspberry gives way to a woody, amber, and vanilla base with a touch of jasmine. It’s not as fruity as I expected, more sweet with a hint of raspberry. It smells very much like a serious office ‘Mr. Godín’; the drydown didn’t convince me as much—I expected more fruit and amber—but it will surely work well for older gentlemen.
Reminds me of Polo Red with that fruity and vanilla touch from YSL Nuit. The formula is somewhat familiar, but it does its job and works well.
A nice fragrance. Reminds me of Polo Red, its fruity and vanilla note from YSL Nuit… somewhat of a known formula but effective.
I wanted to mention it reminds me of Mc Taylor, but it’s not in the database.
My Jaguar Classic Red finally arrived. I’d already read the reviews and was eager and excited about the scent. At first, it was exactly what I expected; it reminds me of a perfume but I don’t know which one. It seems like a distant cousin of Fahrenheit from the mother side and Mc Taylor from the father side, with a touch of Polo Red that I didn’t notice at first but becomes apparent as it dries down, around an hour and a half. I loved it. Price-quality ratio, extremely masculine perfume. I could say it smells like fire, just as others smell like water. Great price-quality ratio, ideal for dates, as I read in another review, or business meetings. The only thing about Jaguar I can say: I love their cars, and this fragrance upholds their legacy… Congratulations!
Jaguar continues to prove itself as one of the most solid brands in the 15-20 euro fragrance market. In Classic Red, I appreciate similarities with Classic Gold, especially at the start. The dry-down in Red feels less sweet than Gold, and considering I’m not a fan of overly sweet and cloying scents, that’s a good thing. Projection and longevity are correct for the price, and it’s a fragrance with the virtue of being an odor that no one can dislike. Given the price, you can buy it blind without taking big risks. I’d give it a 7 out of 10.
It’s a pleasant but soft perfume with a fruity, powdery, and clean opening, slightly sweet, and very versatile. Since it’s not invasive, it works for day or night. It reminded me of Salvador Dalí’s Laguna. If you’re looking for something discreet but rich, it’s ideal; if you want projection and to stand out, it’s not. Still, it attracts compliments from those close by. Its sweetness gives it sensuality and charm, making it a seductive fragrance.
A very pleasant but soft perfume. Fruity opening, alcoholic, clean, slightly sweet, but extremely versatile. Since it’s not intrusive, it’s ideal for day or night use. It reminded me a bit of Laguna by Salvador Dalí. If you’re looking for a discreet (soft) but rich fragrance, this is perfect. But if you want projection and to stand out, it’s not the one, although it still gets many compliments from people who are really close by. Its slightly sweet character lends it sensuality and charm, making it a seductive perfume.
A fruity oriental perfume, sweet, with vanilla touches and a masculine aroma. It has a nice trail, very decent longevity, and a good price. It’s a pleasant men’s fragrance perfect for casual day-to-day wear.
Fruity-sweet oriental fragrance with vanilla notes. A masculine scent with good projection and decent longevity. Very affordable, perfect for casual everyday wear.
Starts just like Jaguar Gold but less cloying; you can definitely taste the raspberry. Great for fall or winter. It has a slight Polo Red vibe. I paid $18 for 40ml in Argentina back in February 2024, so the price is unbeatable.
Starts very similar to Jaguar Gold, but this one is less cloying; you can feel the raspberry note. For mid-seasons or cold weather, I notice a certain resemblance to Polo Red. I paid $18 for 40ml, which is a great deal (Argentina price, February 2024).
Excellent nose work on this perfume! Not my style, but I detect high-quality aroma with depth and distinct stages. It’s deeply woody; I’m starting from the dry-down. The base is sweet and alcoholic due to the potent amber, yet cedar and a very earthy, tobacco-like patchouli stand out, making it very masculine. The dry-down is indeed fruity, with bergamot peel and dark and red fruits that aren’t too bright, sweet. It seems like a nectar or jam with a clean citrus touch. The heart is outstanding: fresh black pepper that spices up a sweet, soapy jasmine thanks to the aldehyde or that clean ozonic note. Vanilla emerges from the depths like a liquid essence, but the star of this robust aroma is the mature tonka bean, something serious. For me, it’s an alcoholic, sweet, woody, and warm fragrance, perfect for autumn or winter. I associate it with a mature person, wearing a coat and scarf (lots of fantasy, I think), walking in the outskirts of London. My bottle says UK, but also “made in France,” which is a plus. One of the best in the low-cost category.
Fantastic nose job! Even though it’s not my usual style, it smells high-quality, has depth, and features distinct evolution. It’s deeply woody, and I’m starting from the base. The dry down is sweet and amber-heavy, highlighting cedar and an earthy, tobacco-like patchouli that makes it very masculine. The top is fruity with bergamot peel and red and black berries—sweet but not overly bright, like a nectar or jam with a clean citrus twist. The heart is bold: fresh black pepper spice that seasons a sweet, soapy jasmine thanks to the aldehyde or that clean ozonic note. Vanilla emerges from the base as a liquid essence, but the star of this robust aroma is the mature tonka bean, which is quite serious. To me, it’s an amber, sweet, woody, and warm fragrance, perfect for autumn or winter. I associate it with a mature person in a coat and scarf (lots of fantasy, I admit) walking on the outskirts of London. My bottle says UK but also ‘made in France,’ which is a plus. One of the best in the low-cost category.
Smells like roe, with all due respect, it feels artificial to me and overwhelms me when I wear it. Salu2.
Smells like fish roe, with all due respect, I’m sorry, it feels artificial, and it overwhelms me when I wear it. Salu2.
I blend raspberries, red fruits, green apple, mint, eucalyptus, and ice in a blender… and boom: an ozonic, airy, and fresh scent. Sweet, but that kind of soft fruit sweetness.
