If you’re not a huge vetiver fan, think twice before buying; it smells like damp, woody vetiver (thanks to guaiac) and can come across as a bit overwhelming.
Wow, what can I say about this scent? It starts green, like field herbs on a damp morning, transitioning into rain-soaked earth from a winter drizzle. You can definitely detect vetiver, resins, and cedar. At first, it takes some getting used to, but once it dries down, it becomes woody, green, and fresh. Moderate projection and good longevity. It’s a vintage scent with a modern twist from the citrus and cardamomo. I’m testing it after a day of wear; with more time, I’ll uncover its secrets. Scent 6/10, Projection 6/10, Longevity 7.5/10, Sillage 5/10.
A beautiful and meticulous take on those abrasive, woody vetivers out there, like Encre Noire or Sycomore. This one starts on the fine lines of Sycomore but with bolder, more oriental strokes, achieving a drier, resinous, and enveloping finish.
