  • Inspired by Gucci Envy, one of Tom Ford’s masterpieces from his Gucci days in the late 90s and early 2000s. It closely resembles and evokes the original, though in my opinion this version is more subtle and less loud. To me, this Invidia smells green, woody, and ambered, whereas my Envy is greener, smoky, and incense-like. The scent is very pleasant but doesn’t last long on my skin, even though it’s been macerating for a year. It’s definitely an option for those seeking the discontinued, now astronomically priced original Envy. I’m surprised there aren’t any reviews in Spanish. Highly recommended; maybe others will find it lasts longer on their skin.

Good morning or night, depending on where you are. The notes are listed above: this is an ‘inspiration’ and, for the price, it was worth trying a 10ml decant I found somewhere. It’s not bad, but obviously it’s far from copying the original; I’d say it’s quite weak and subtle, meant for personal enjoyment. That said, it smells good and is decently constructed. Skin performance is on the lower side; by an hour, you’ll notice you need to be right up close to the application point. Clothing performance is almost the same, of course; pH plays a huge role, and everyone’s different. Blind buy? Definitely not: try it first, buy the decant if you like the scent, and even better if it’s on sale. There are better proposals from Alexandria, especially those inspired by the Creed saga; I’ll comment on them gradually where appropriate. Cheers.
