I love this perfume! They recommended it to me and I thought the pepper would be strong… but it isn’t! It’s perfectly dosed with the rose and honey, a delight for the senses. Then the tonka bean comes in to seal it off without being intrusive, adding a lovely soft vanilla sweetness that’s very pretty and feminine. I really like the twisted little bottle, it has medium sillage and good longevity.
I got it on discount; the saleswoman said they were the last bottles because it’s discontinued. It was a blind buy, but she assured me it was up to the level of greats like Coco Mademoiselle and Miss Dior, so I took the risk… and yes, it’s very similar. It’s great on warm days. It opens fresh and citrusy with flowers and honey. It’s infinitely feminine and sensual. I tested Coco on one arm and Hypnose Senses on the other; they’re from the same family, but Senses is sweeter, thanks to the honey. It lasts hours with excellent projection.
The fragrance is excellent. When I smelled it at a demo in Liverpool, I was captivated. It smells floral without being cloying, slightly powdery, but above all luxurious and refined. Nothing I’ve ever smelled before is like it. With just a little bit, it fills the whole room.
It’s an excellent perfume, very delicate and feminine, with a little-used but exquisite note: osmanthus. It’s sweet without being cloying. On my skin, it smells like wine, so I only wear it on clothes. It resembles Coco Mademoiselle, but it has its own personality: it’s sensual and intimate, without the aggression or unisex touch of the 2015/2016 reformulation. I don’t know if it’s discontinued, I hope not!
Simple and beautiful like a rose at dawn… you can feel the cheeky rose hidden among the fruits. I, being a man, wear it on my handkerchief and the scent is very enigmatic. The first time I smelled it at work at 4 AM, it’s rare for a strong scent to be pleasant then. A customer stepped out of the elevator and as she crossed the hotel lobby, everything turned into a field of fresh roses with honey, so delicious it felt like a dream. I fell in love with this delicate hypnotic version, which reminds me a lot of D&G’s The One Rose.
It has this magical duality of being simple and complex at the same time: the softness of fresh rose clouds with honey, citrus, labdanum, benzoin, and patchouli. I notice everything majestically. It’s luxurious, splendid, elegant, and exquisite, as few and as many as it is.
