Starting with a peppery kick, Hegoa is a citrus EDT loaded with green tea and musk that, on my skin, turns bitter and just doesn’t suit me. It’s unisex, ideal for someone looking for something clean and subtle for summer, though there are similar options with better value. It lasts 7-8 hours but stops projecting after an hour and a half. I’m sticking with Tommy Girl, which is sweeter, minty, refreshing, and offers better performance and price. Scent 2/10, Longevity 7.5/10, Sillage 5.5/10, Value 3.5/10, Versatility 4/10, Packaging 7.5/10. Would I buy again? No.
It opens with a strong alcohol hit. Immediately, the citrus notes shine with a warm character, like a wicker basket full of fresh lemons. The woody, musky, and amber base doesn’t dominate, but it gives the citrus a mature, semi-formal vibe. It’s not for me, but I recognize it’s a well-blended fragrance.
Citrusy, muted, subtle, and ghostly. It already smells like nothing, even though I applied the sample just 15 minutes ago.
