  • They gave me a sample to test at home, no breeze and in summer heat. It didn’t last at all, maybe thirty minutes max, and it was gone. At first, it smelled good, fresh and fruity, probably blackberry, but it’s common and ordinary. It turned watery, flew away, and disappeared.

  • Evasive and volatile, Aguatxirri plays on a fruity concept that Escada already handles better. It disappointed me: it has no character, doesn’t last, and lacks body. It’s not even a structured eau de toilette; it fades and doesn’t justify its price. Lagerfeld doesn’t pull it off with either blackberries or cheese.

  • What a strange world perfumes are. This one lasts about six hours, even when it smells strong; in cold weather, it lasts even longer. It comes out herbal, acidic, and cloyingly sweet; the vanilla isn’t there, the sweetness comes from the fruits. It leaves me feeling clean, but I wouldn’t wear it in the heat—it overwhelms me. I think it’s unisex, though my husband says it smells very feminine. It’s not a blind buy, but I don’t think anyone would hate it completely.

  • Starts strong, fruity and citrusy, but then vanilla takes over, making it sweet and wrapping around the red berries and lily of the valley. After two hours, it’s stuck to the skin, soft and powdery, with more floral notes—very pleasant and mysterious. I love the blend, but the downside is that it doesn’t last or leave a trail; I have to reapply three or four times a day. It’s not a common scent or unisex, but due to the poor longevity, I wouldn’t buy it again. It’s not worth spending money on something that disappears so quickly, although it lasts longer on clothes.
