Not much to say; it’s the kind of perfume you put on without overthinking. Citrusy, green, with a spicy touch that makes it very commercial. You won’t stand out by smelling unique, but you smell good, and sometimes that’s all that matters.

Fresh, citrusy, green, with an aromatic spicy note. Reminds me of Montblanc Starwalker and ADG by Armani, especially the first one. I tested them at the same time, one on each arm, and they’re very similar, though Starwalker leans more towards bamboo. The Montblanc lasted longer, so I’d recommend that. Still, this NY Mercer Street is a great value for the price, even if the longevity is a bit lacking. Perfect for everyday wear. You smell good without drawing attention, nothing off-putting. Not for parties, but a formal, reliable fragrance. If you already have something like this, it won’t add anything new, but if not, it’s a solid choice.

On my skin, it lasts no more than two hours. Pleasant aroma, like just after getting out of the shower. I wouldn’t buy it again.

Part of Karl Lagerfeld’s Cities collection, the first of three, the easiest to find and in my opinion the best. The profile is simple, just inspirations, and in the case of New York Mercer Street, I think it has a good DNA with similarities to Aqua di Gio, plus some spicy and cottony nuances that give it its own touch. The whole collection performs well; I’m surprised it lasts more than five hours on my skin with my tricky pH, and on clothes it lasts the whole workday, though with low projection. The only downside is that its DNA is being used by many women here lately, to the point that in a café, the barista took a deep breath and said, ‘mmmm, smells like a woman,’ even though fragrances aren’t to blame for trends. The next day I switched back to Jaguar for Men.
