I just want to remember why I hate it: it smells like chlorine. Sure, it has other accords, but since it came out, it smells like that pool chlorine that sticks to your skin, very chemical. It has oud, spices, animalic notes, and that nutmeg I don’t like. There are good things, obviously, but nothing. It has a curious metallic touch and something fresh, with a dense base, but it saves nothing. It smells like chlorine. The drydown is a bit nice, with that metallic and rough edge, but the chlorine memory kills it. Yes, it smells like chlorine. What a marvel.
Quick summary: it smells like pool chlorine. Sure, it has other accords, but from the very first moment, that chemical smell dominates and sticks to the skin. The oud, spices, and my least favorite nutmeg are there, along with a curious metallic and fresh touch. The rhubarb base is somewhat pleasant, but the chlorine memory kills it. What a marvel.
To me, it’s a great spicy fragrance with an oud base. The oud used is soft and easy to wear, more woody than animalic or fecal. But mixed with spices and castoreum, it gives it an animalic touch, especially in the opening. The drydown is sweeter, delicate, and elegant. It lasts hours, more than ten on my skin, though after the opening it stays very close, almost without projection. It’s a great oud option for those who like strong fragrances or for daily wear. It’s a spicy fragrance with a soft, woody oud base, nothing animalic or fecal. At first, the spices and castoreum give it an animalic touch, but as it dries down, it becomes sweet, delicate, and elegant. It lasts more than 10 hours, though then it stays stuck to the skin without projection. Ideal for lovers of strong oud or for daily wear.
