  I was looking for something like Blanche Bête, but this has nothing to do with it. I’m not sure if it’s just my skin chemistry or that I simply don’t like it, but my expectations were high. The issue is that dense, creamy, and very sweet opening—it’s strange and hard to identify. I thought it might be amyris wood because of its resinous quality, but it smells more like sandalwood and doesn’t give me that vibe. It’s odd, potent, and fails as a gourmand. It blends with something citrusy-green and ginger, creating an even weirder scent that I don’t enjoy. After an hour, that top part fades, and I start enjoying the woody-lactonic facets with citrus, which I do like. But it doesn’t make up for the opening. For me, it just wasn’t it.

  It’s a masterpiece. If I like Érose, this one fascinates me even more. It feels very feminine. At first, it’s warm but with a hint of freshness and a soft sweetness I can’t quite explain. Then come creamy, crisp nardos—a flower I adore—and a musky base with warm sandalwood, like rice pudding. It’s not heavy, invasive, or tiring. It’s not a typical gourmand; it’s original, addictive, and sexy. I love sophisticated and unique scents; this one is curious because, even in the dry down, the woods retain a green touch. One of my new favorites. I’d wear it at night in cool or cold weather. On my skin, it’s pure bliss.
