It smells quite synthetic, but fair enough for the price. The notes lack their own sparkle. It’s a decent, simple, fresh perfume: nothing to enjoy for quality or compliments, it just does its job. I’d wear it daily at home.
An attempt by Hackett London to recreate Dior Sauvage on a budget. Watch out, it’s not an identical clone like some others, including Arab brands. Some might think copying is tedious, and I agree, but let’s not be so demanding. Everyone has a right to their piece of the pie. It’s not great in quality, originality, or performance—it’s a bit weak—but in my opinion, it has the best scent of all Hackett fragrances. I can’t stand The Bespoke. Although it could be cheaper, if it stays around 50 euros (or less in sales), the 100ml isn’t overpriced, unlike what’s unfortunately happening lately with most designer perfumeries. P.S.: If you layer this Essential with a classic citrus cologne like Álvarez Gómez’s Concentrated Cologne Water, you’ll get… almost, almost… Aventus by the face without the smoky birch. Give it a try.
Perfume and how you perceive it is the definition of subjective. In my case, it lasts easily 6 hours. While the scent is somewhat generic, it feels like an all-rounder of excellent quality. Nice aroma.
What a disappointment. I’m a huge fan of the brand and was very excited to see the bottle in the store. But puff, it smells so boring and generic, very similar to other colognes that simply smell okay, clean, soapy, and fresh, but so generic and low quality to me. Sorry, Miaockett.
I tested it at 6:30 PM in the store’s tester. It smelled great, but now at 8:45 PM, I can barely smell it unless I press my nose right up against the tester. That performance doesn’t seem reasonable, and the price is totally unjustified. Clean and slightly floral aroma, nothing original but very pleasant and not invasive. I’m not a fan of florals, but if it had good performance and a fair price, I’d buy it. Scent: 7, Performance: 2, Sillage: 2.
