Caught me off guard in the best way possible. I usually prefer modern scents over vintage ones, but this has a special touch. It’s classic and timeless. The top notes fade quickly, leaving plum, peach, ylang-ylang, and rose on my skin. I see this as 100% feminine: creamy, sweet, and with good longevity. It smells like a cake or ripe fruit—round and cozy. In the dry-down, it becomes vanilla and ambered. Might be too much for summer; I’d wear it in winter, for going out, or at the office, though in small enclosed spaces it could be a bit sharp up close. Reminds me a bit of Lalique’s Velvet Plum because of the plum, but this one is sweeter and powdier, whereas the other is drier. I liked it, yes.
I tried a decant and it didn’t stick with me. The opening is nice—a white floral with jasmine, tuberose, and a touch of freshness. Then the ylang-ylang kicks in, turning it into a vintage, woody scent that’s a bit heavy but creamy. It has projection and longevity, but I wouldn’t buy it. If you love vintage florals or ylang-ylang, give it a try.
