Endurance de Botanicae reminds me of the 90s EDTs, back when they lasted 5-6 hours. It’s a pleasant fougère with grapefruit, lavender, and a woody-musk base. But I’ll emphasize: it’s not an extract or an elixir; it performs like an Eau de Parfum and is exhausted on skin after 6 hours. Projection is great for the first two hours, no complaints. I like that an extract responds to the level it should; I’m not hunting for a beast mode, but hitting 8-9 hours in this category would be asking for something titanic. It’s versatile for work or formal outfits, nothing tropical. I recommend it from late spring to early fall. As always, test on skin before buying niche.
Endurance de Botanicae takes me back to the 90s EDTs, with that grapefruit, lavender, and wood combo that used to last 5-6 hours. It’s a pleasant fougère-style fragrance, but watch out: it’s not an elixir. It behaves more like an Eau de Parfum and is completely dead on skin after 6 hours. The notes are extremely confusing. It’s not tropical in the slightest. As someone else mentioned, it’s practically a Tygar or Turathi Blue—very masculine with a dry-down fougère that feels a bit heavy on the oakmoss. Maybe it has better quality than the Turathi, I’m not sure, I haven’t lingered on it as much. It’s a good perfume, but keep in mind it is absolutely NOT tropical. And since 90% of niche launches these days are just copies, you’re basically just paying the markup.
To be honest: Endurance is a logical inspiration from the DNA of Bvlgari’s Tygar and hundreds of other fragrances. Do you notice the pineapple at the start? Yes. Does it have good longevity? Yes. But as it evolves, it smells like grapefruit and ambroxan. Keep in mind it costs €140. For that price, I have Turathi Blue which offers the same vibe for €25. That’s subjective, sure. But if you want an aroma in that style with a noticeable ‘quality,’ less synthetic, and over 6 hours of wear, here’s your option.
