Dune Parfum by Dior is a spicy oriental fragrance for women. Launched in 1991, this composition was created by Jean-Louis Sieuzac, Nejla Barbir, and Dominique Ropion. The top notes reveal aldehydes, Brazilian rosewood, peony, mandarin, and bergamot; the heart unfolds with heliotrope, rose, lily of the valley, jasmine, and ylang-ylang; while the base notes settle on patchouli, sandalwood, benzoin, ambergris, oakmoss, musk, and vanilla.

It’s the fragrance that has left the deepest mark and captivated me more than any other in my entire life. I adore it, I long for it, and I would give anything to smell it again for real. I really hope they reissue it, because today’s Dune only reminds you… but it’s not the same. It’s the closest match to the original among everything on the market. To the nose that created it, honestly, a tribute is owed for crafting something so unique that it remains etched in memory decades after the last time you had the immense pleasure of experiencing it.
