  • I’ve had this for a while. At first, I liked it, but later it became bothersome. It starts with a sweet note like cola soda. Then it intensifies with cognac and rum; together with coffee, they create a mature blend. The alcoholic notes gave me a headache and burned my eyes. It’s fine for those who like strong scents, but I prefer softer ones.

Indeed, it smells like ‘canned apple,’ but it disappointed me greatly. At first, it smells nice, but after just a few minutes, the notes become unpleasant because it turns out to be very synthetic. I’ll finish the bottle, but I’ll NEVER buy it again.

As I read in another review, it’s ‘fresh aquatic,’ not aquatic. Wonderful for its dense alcoholic base of cognac and rum over a fruity apple foundation soaked in that liquor. The woods give it body, and the spices, like saffron, make it slightly spicy. I remember it as an adult fragrance: heavy but comfortable and addictive, housed in a beautiful bottle.

I love it. It’s sweet and synthetic yet fresh and masculine. The longevity is good, lasting about 4 to 6 hours. The projection is strong for the first hour, then it settles to a conversation distance. I tried it three years ago and bought a second bottle just last month.

I have this wonderful perfume and I love its bottle for its original and creative shape, stepping out of the usual packaging of others. It lasts me about 5 hours and the smell is delicious, like apples in cognac, sweet and sour, and intoxicating. Recommended for young people 25 and up.

It’s a very distinctive fragrance; it doesn’t remind me of any other because I’ve used many perfumes in my life. It smells like cognac, white wine, and fruit; I love it, especially the bottle, which is very versatile.

  • It’s very fresh, ideal for summer, with medium longevity and low projection, sticking close to the skin. The apple dominates, an undeclared note in Red Delicious Men; I didn’t sense iris, but something of rum or cognac, nor the cardamom I love. I thought it was good, nothing synthetic, maybe it just didn’t work on my skin, but I felt it was refined. It could be an interesting option if you like aquatic fragrances. Warm regards from Argentina.

  • First I wrote my opinion, then I read the others and saw there are divided opinions, but from those differences come positive things, and I think it’s very good.

  • It’s very fresh, ideal for summer, with moderate longevity and low projection, sticking close to the skin. The apple note dominates (that undeclared one). I didn’t detect iris, only a hint of cognac or rum, nor the cardamom I enjoy. I thought it was good, not synthetic; maybe it just didn’t work well on my skin, but I found it refined. It could be an interesting option if you like aquatic fragrances. Greetings from Argentina.

  • It’s a unique fragrance, super fresh and fruity, like an aged apple with a rich liquor touch; the bad part is that it’s no longer sold.

  • To me, it’s not as boozy as most say. Nor would I call it super fruity, or at least not with that much clarity. To me, it feels almost as much spiced. Either way, the combination or balance seems relatively original. Its problem is performance and projection quality; it behaves like a normal shower gel. Without having a bargain price, the bottle can get expensive given the amount you need to apply to get strength and presence.

  • As I read in another review, it’s ‘fresh aquatic,’ not ‘aquatic.’ Wonderful for its alcoholic density thanks to the cognac and rum over a fruity base of apple soaked in that liquor. The woods give it body, and the spices, like saffron, make it a bit spicy. I remember it as an adult fragrance, heavy but comfortable and addictive, with a gorgeous bottle.

  • No wonder. There are many examples where the scent spills out of the bottle, and DKNY Red Delicious Men fits right in. But the best part is its smell: it’s a limited-edition 2006 proposal for men featuring woody notes. It carries apple (undeclared) in cognac and rum, with floral touches that give it a mature, robust personality without veering into old-man territory, balanced by a slight sobriety that I appreciate. I’m particularly struck by the tangerine blossom, which I can’t quite distinguish but seems to hover around orange. A great surprise—I bought it blind and I’m very happy with it.

  • It’s not rare; DKNY Red Delicious Men fits right into that category of scents that hit hard the moment they leave the bottle. The best part is the smell: a woody men’s fragrance launched as a limited edition in 2006, with a red bottle carrying sexy and bold notes. It’s an apple (undeclared) built on cognac and rum, with floral edges that give it a mature personality; it feels robust and lightly sober, which I really like. I’m drawn to the tangerine flower note, which I can’t quite distinguish from the blend, but it’s similar to orange blossom. Undoubtedly, it evokes an era where vodka (Z Zegna Extreme), rum (Guerlain Homme), and whisky (Baldessarini Ambre) were key in creating the aromatic profiles of the late nineties. RED opens with a bitter apple liquor that improves over time; it’s a linear fragrance but with a beautiful descent between spicy and floral notes, with great performance. In short, it was a great surprise buying it blind, which amplifies the happiness this scent brings.

It seems delicious, sweet and synthetic at the same time, yet fresh and masculine. The longevity is good, between 4 and 6 hours. The trail is very potent for the first hour and then settles to a conversation distance. I used it for the first time three years ago and bought a second bottle just last month.

To me, it doesn’t smell as boozy as people say. Nor is it very fruity, or at least not with that much clarity. What I do notice is a very marked spicy touch. The blend itself seems quite original and balanced. The problem is the quality: performance and projection are average, like a shower gel. And look, it’s not cheap, but given the amount you have to apply for it to really show up, it ends up costing a lot.

DKNY Red Delicious Men: Top notes are boozy. Middle notes: the boozy top notes persist and blend with a soft coffee. Dry down: the boozy notes become fruitier, mimicking the scent of a red apple over a background of coffee, bergamot, and a touch of sandalwood. Projection and longevity: projects for about 4 hours and lasts around 6. Conclusion: boozy and aromatic. The opening is a bit confusing; it might seem like you sprayed yourself with liquor, but it’s not. A few minutes in, the bergamot and coffee come through, adding much more depth and body. The blend mimics a ripe, slightly fermented red apple (hence the boozy scent). It’s rich and unique; I haven’t heard anything like it (at least not yet), so if you’re looking for something different to wear most of the year, go for it—it doesn’t disappoint.

DKNY Red Delicious Men isn’t just a perfume; it’s a story told note by note, like a secret chapter of a modern, passionate man. The intense red bottle, as passionate as it is, invites you with a tempting whisper. The elegant, masculine chrome cap holds a mystery: the red apple, a symbol of the city that never sleeps. Upon opening it, the air fills with a fresh, juicy sweetness, as if you just bit into that forbidden fruit. The notes dance sensually; cognac and rum blend together, evoking secret club nights and hushed conversations at half-light. Saffron flower adds a spicy touch, like the brush of a silk tie against the skin, making the fragrance intriguing, like a furtive encounter in a dark alley. Sandalwood and patchouli emerge as the foundations of an old building—wood and earth—creating a solid, masculine base. But there’s more: the exotic and mysterious tiger orchid appears from the shadows, that unexpected twist that defies expectations and reminds us that masculinity isn’t linear. The longevity keeps its promise; though it doesn’t last forever, it leaves a mark on the memory. Like the last sip of liquor before leaving the club, it fades with elegance, leaving a trail of intrigue and desire. It’s a very singular, rich fragrance, ideal for temperate climates and definitely for going out at night.
