Well, my order arrived today. It came from a well-known Valencia perfumerie at a price of 108€ for 100 ml. This already made me suspicious. It arrives, I open it, I test it, and I barely distinguish it on the skin close to me. It doesn’t project less than 3 cm from my hand. I sprayed it generously twice. Basically, dripping on my hand. Nothing at all. Either I was scammed (I’m proceeding with a return), or 99% of the people defending this perfume are smoke sellers. I’m not an expert or a fanatic. I just have a sense of smell. My perfume collection is modest: Dior Homme Parfum, Dior Homme Original, Dior Elixir, Bentley Intense, Prada L’Homme Intense, Versace Eros EDP, YSL Y Le Parfum, Acqua di Parma Leather, Club de Nuit Intense, YSL L’Homme batch 2012, Dior Homme Sport batch 2012, to name a few. Any of these is lightyears away in any aspect, projection, and longevity. The worst one here outperforms them all by a mile. So either I was cheated, or there are more than a few smoke sellers I plan to expose.

  • Which perfumerie is this?? I have Costa Azurra, and while it doesn’t have amazing power, it has quite good sillage and longevity. Don’t expect it to be like Dior Elixir, which is a bomb. Also, I’ll tell you that when I first got it, I felt it lasted less than now that I’ve had it for 8 months. But the idea that it only smells on the skin close to you can’t be true. To give you an idea, it should last longer than L’Homme and Dior Homme Sport.

N7ko, the online store where I bought it, is Paco Perfumerías. They refunded me. Honestly, I don’t know what to think, but I’ll never shop there again. My impression of what I received was negative, and I suppose I got a bad batch or something. I later read reviews from people with different brands, from Dior to others, with exactly the same problem. So bad luck is something to be wary of. I really don’t know if what I bought was real, or if Tom Ford is adding more junk to duration and projection at luxury niche prices with each batch, or if this store sells something else. All I can say is where Tom Ford money is spent: paying reviewers, some with many followers, to write positive reviews about the duration and projection of their fragrances. And this is really scamming people. You can’t compare a beast like Dior Homme Parfum, a masterpiece of perfumery that I assume is about to be discontinued, with this Costa Azurra. No way. They are lying, and consciously so, even if I can’t prove it, they’re getting away with it. Once and not again. More honest reviewers and fewer smoke sellers.

When will they learn to let a perfume mature? The people at the perfumeries, with so much experience, haven’t figured it out. They want performance and longevity from fragrances that have barely left the bottle, without contact with oxygen, yet they demand the same from a store tester that’s been atomized for a year. Buy it, use it, store it, and use it again later; then you’ll thank me and stop talking about ‘reformulation’ 24/7.

Elegant, subtle, and super versatile. A fantastic fragrance for everyday wear. The opening is very present, with that green cypress note and a discreet citrus that yields in two minutes to a very pleasant heart, like a sea breeze with a floral touch that makes it elegant and clean. The dry down features musk, amber, and something that reminds me of good sunscreen. I consider it one of the best signature fragrances a classy man can own. Why? Because I’ve only worn it for a couple of weeks, and family and friends who are used to smelling everything on me either say nothing, ask what I’m wearing, or rarely say ‘I love how you smell.’ Costa Azurra has been mentioned to me several times. Beyond the compliments, it’s easy to wear. It’s light but doesn’t disappear after a few hours. It’s lasting about 7-8 hours on my skin, and a bit more if I overapply, with almost half of that projecting to just under half a meter (it’s not a beast and doesn’t pretend to be). Ideal for work, family visits, going to the movies, or any indoor activity where you want to please, feel clean and elegant without invading or drawing attention. Finally, the ingredient quality: very well balanced and pleasant at all times.

  • Excellent perfume. It projects luxury without a doubt. The blend of lemon and cypress is delicious. Super versatile; you can wear it casually or formally, and it looks great in both cases. A great aroma, as Tom Ford is known for (I’m not a reviewer and I’m not paid to say this). Unfortunately, the high price makes it exclusive, but it’s worth it.

I’ve been wearing this fragrance for 6 days and exposed it to the heat in Jaén, and honestly, it works quite well. The lemon is noticeable throughout, though it evolves over time. The cypress and oak are fantastic, although you only catch them at the beginning. The lemon reminds me a lot of the citrus notes in Creed’s Aventus; I don’t know if others experience the same thing.

  • Porro1973

Smells good, but I think it’s overrated. On skin, it’s top-tier, though it lacks projection. It’s unisex but leans more masculine. The opening with lemon is nice, but there’s not much more to it. It feels too poor for the price.

  • I absolutely love the scent; it smells like honey and lemon, and the quality really shines through. On my skin, it has very little projection—you have to be close to notice it—but it lasts 10 hours with just two sprays (tested on my wrist). It seems like the longevity has improved since I opened it two months ago, though that might just be my impression. Overall, it’s sophisticated and luxurious, perfect for spring, early and late summer, and autumn. It’s great for any occasion, keeping in mind it’s a closer-wear cologne; if you’re looking to catch attention from afar, look elsewhere.

  • For me, the EDP version is still better. There’s no need to add anything said before. Obviously, people have huge hype because certain reviewers inflate it too much compared to previous versions. The horde of fans, most of them, were influenced by them and lack the personality to choose on their own. Overrated to the point of nausea. It’s valid if they prefer this one or none, of course. It just gives cringe when it’s casually the most sought-after after those YouTubers declared it the eighth wonder. The other versions were talked about less, but if they had inflated them like this one, ‘casually,’ they’d be on the top. Please have more personality…

  • I bought it on vacation; it caught my eye at the perfumery, and I didn’t think much. I took it home to investigate further by sniffing it repeatedly. Until I realized its scent reminded me too much of chamomile tea, which I don’t hate but would rather have a stomach ache than drink. I understand the EDP version is more different and cool; I’ll have to give it a chance. It’s the opposite; I don’t want it gathering dust on the shelf; I’ll gift it to a colleague who loves everything Tom Ford.

  • Before, few talked about Costa Azurra; it was the ugly duckling of Private Blend. They relaunched it with a new image and more power because the blue version had low longevity. When I bought the EDP, I was fascinated; they managed to extract the best of the blue, making it smoother and deeper. No matter how much I recommended it, no one followed the trend. I don’t know if reviewers are bought, but there’s a fuss, it’s out of stock, and that piqued my interest. My surprise when testing it in-store: it smells the same or more 90% of the time as the EDP, with even worse performance. I don’t understand the trend for this PARFUM, an absurd launch inflated by reviewers who probably never tried the EDP. The lack of stock and the trend make me think of brand strategies. It’s not illegal, but it’s dirty play. Bottling the same scent in a prettier bottle and selling it for more is greedy. Go and try the EDP. If you can’t find the PARFUM, buy the EDP; you won’t be golden or on the ‘wave,’ but you’ll have a great quality perfume for everyday use.

  • A beautiful blend of cypress and incense. Very pleasant and easy to wear; I perceive it as elegant. Those who say it smells like a church aren’t entirely wrong; the incense is noticeable, but it’s fresh and light, nothing dense. It’s the same incense I detect in Acqua di Gio Profumo after a few hours. If you like cypress and incense, you’ll love this Tom Ford.

  • Hi, a quick question: does anyone find it similar to any from O’Boticario’s Malbec collection?

  • rightconcentration

An exquisite scent, classy, addictive, and very natural. It projects elegance, luxury, good taste, and authority; you feel great just wearing it. I looked for 50ml but only found 100ml, which discouraged me thinking I’d never finish it compared to other perfumes, but I don’t regret it; it’s one of the most I’ve used. I have sensitive skin and many burn me; this one does too. Perfect for special occasions in private or enclosed spaces during the day. It’s for not drawing attention from afar but making an impact up close. Tom Ford encourages spraying more: ‘Why smell only ‘a little good’ when you can smell ‘VERY good’?’ If you paid what it costs, you shouldn’t mind using it. It’s for a mature mindset, 20 years and up, if you have personality and confidence. Versatile with outfits, from golf to president, but if you’re sloppy, use something else. Many complain it became popular because of the spotlight, but it already had it; YouTube channels just shined it. Should I recommend it? If you can afford it, get it; it’s worth it.

  • A very sophisticated aroma that achieves that feeling without being citrusy or herbal; it’s refreshing and relaxing, ideal for spring and summer. Don’t expect great performance; even though it’s a ‘parfum,’ the projection is limited, just like the longevity, but it doesn’t seem to be their intention. The cap and atomizer are infinitely improvable. The scent is a 10.

  • Peter Clemenza

One of the most overrated perfumes. It lands in no-man’s-land, too heavy for everyday wear and too short for a formal event or party. Its hype is only justified by reviewers’ sponsorships.

  • It’s not just any perfume; it’s complex and might not win you compliments immediately, but it’s rich if you give it time. On my skin, it leaves no trail—it’s not beast mode, it’s intimate, a skin scent, like a second skin. It lasts 12+ hours, and on clothes, you can’t say anything; it’s soaked in for weeks. My girlfriend prefers the scent on clothes over skin. I don’t recommend buying blind or just because of the price; get to know it first, and only recommend it if you already own other fragrances. It’s a mature scent, for someone with life experience, not for school or work, only if you’re the CEO or something similar.

  • Daniipntr

I tried it with a few sprays and must say I found it exquisite. Fresh, elegant, mature, and sophisticated. I see it for formal wear in summer and spring. Standard longevity leaning towards light, and doesn’t project enough to justify its price. Great scent, but poor longevity and projection for the price paid. In my opinion, it’s not worth it.

  • Renzillodeville

I fell in love with the scent; it’s an exquisite fragrance to wear well-dressed. I feel it’s more citrusy than woody, 100% recommended.

  • AO.Fragrances

I tried it because of Andres’s reviews. A marvel; it smells like sailing a yacht in the Mediterranean on a sunny afternoon at 2 PM, with water splashing and mixing with sweat. It’s elegance and the word ‘free man’ in a bottle (though very expensive). PS: Sometimes it gives the taste of smelling cat pee; anyone with a cat will understand.

  • Costa Azzurra Parfum by Tom Ford: If the Parfum were to speak to the Eau de Parfum, it would say, ‘I taught you everything you know, but not everything I know.’ So, Azurra Parfum is more aromatic, strong, robust, creamy, and truly perfumey. I don’t dismiss the Eau de Parfum, which is wonderful, but this goes much further. It has the DNA of the original but dives into the sea to its depths, showing its aromatic magnitude that imposes itself on everyone, making it superior. If you don’t know it and are unsure which to buy, go for the Parfum with your eyes closed. One reaches a 10, the other maybe an 11. It’s like macerating oak in a river of lemons competing for the spotlight, while the cypress gives that fresh herbaceous field vibe and the marine sensation of the ocean. One of the best unisex fragrances that answer to both genders without leaning too heavily on either; it’s luxurious and outstanding without being a crowd-pleaser. Although the price is high, it’s one of the few that justifies its value, exactly for what you get. It’s a 100% adult fragrance that declares style and upper-class with personality. Fantastic. Scent: 10. Projection: Good. Longevity: 7 to 8 hours. Value for money: Good. Highly recommended for a boss or a master.

  • I tried it at Primor and the scent was very strong; it smelled like intense chamomile to me, even though there’s nothing like that in it. I didn’t detect anything aquatic or summery in it.

  • I loved it from the moment I caught it on the tester and then on the skin. Simply spectacular. I picture it as an ultra-masculine yet sophisticated scent, way above average. It’s the aroma of what’s known online as a ‘sigma,’ at least for me. Simply incredible.

  • Fragancefran

I smelled it yesterday and ADG Profumo immediately came to mind, but a bit more sophisticated and with a touch more quality. For me, it’s a true NEXT in terms of price and redundancy.

  • I think it’s a good perfume, elegant and mature. It’s one of those where when I wear it, I get compliments or people ask what it is. It wears well with a suit, or a blazer if needed.

  • How do they generate so much hype for a fragrance that smells like lemon detergent? If it doesn’t last even 15 minutes and has zero projection, what’s so elegant or sophisticated about it? It’s the biggest scam of recent times at an overpriced tag: a synthetic, fleeting citrus with no structure, linear, and superficial for those 15 minutes it lasts. I could never wear this for someone with character and authority, because it would smell childish and go unnoticed. What audacity besides Tom Ford calling it PARFUM in ordinary packaging? How much did Mr. Andres Croxato get paid to review this and his friend Juan… I think we all have the criteria to spot a scam, and this is one, with a capital S. It’s not even worth a third of what they’re asking.

  • I’ve tried it twice at Sephora, and honestly, it smells luxurious and you can tell the quality is there. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last at all, at least not on my skin. That’s a different story from the fact that it’s very expensive… it’s the richest-smelling perfume I’ve ever sniffed, but I wouldn’t pay for something that fades in under an hour and projects right up against the skin.

  • Excellent scent, very elegant… but unfortunately, it doesn’t last long. For the price, it doesn’t convince me. If its performance were better, it would be a 10/10, but based on its longevity, it’s a 7/10. I ended up buying the EDP instead, as it performed much better on my skin.

  • Bought it yesterday and I’ve been wearing it. Mixed feelings. I’ll let it macerate. I like it more as it dries down. But I feel like I’ll end up gifting it to my dad; he wears Boss Bottled EDT and this fits that vibe (though in my opinion, TF is way better). For now, the longevity seems just about right.

  • Many say it doesn’t last, but that’s not true. Being fresh, especially as it dries down, it doesn’t fade quickly and projects a lot (it has great sillage). Plus, when you sweat, it creates waves or bursts of scent, a trail about a meter around you… but the real magic is right when you apply it. People usually don’t like the opening because it’s strong, but the drydown is out of this world.

  • Great fragrance. That doesn’t mean I ignore its flaws. It’s way too similar to the EDP, almost identical. It’s a bit more woody, sure, but essentially there’s not much difference. Projects well, but it’s not a beast. Longevity is average. I don’t get why people bash the EDP and prefer this one; as I said, the difference is minimal. It seems they were influenced by YouTubers without trying both. Elegant for hot days.

  • Fragranticman

STUNNING. MEDITERRANEAN SUMMER ELEGANCE IN A BOTTLE. We’ll see how the performance holds up, but the scent is absolutely top-notch.

  • I’m not sure if it was my nose or if I smelled more than three perfumes, but this smells like Old Spice deodorant. I didn’t detect the sophisticated notes or the structure Tom Ford built. It starts very marine, but once it dries down, it turns into a deodorant that smells nice, though I think I could find something similar for less at any supermarket. For me, it doesn’t justify buying a Tom Ford for that reason. That was my first impression, and I don’t think it will change.

  • Ideal for spring and summer afternoons and evenings. Citrus opening that quickly gives way to woods, adding distinction and elegance over the EDP. Not unisex; it’s masculine and mature. Performance for the price could be better. It reminds me of the discontinued Aqua di Giò Profumo. As is custom, Tom Ford perfumes stand out for their refinement; Costa Azzurra Parfum is proof of that. Cheers to the community.

  • Costa Azzurra Parfum is woody, aromatic, and marine. Fresh opening with forest and citrus notes. To me, it smells masculine, though a woman could enjoy it too—nobody’s forbidden from wearing it. Over time, amber and marine notes emerge, similar to Issey Miyake, and it lasts until the end. It’s versatile for any season: fresh for summer, woody for winter, and perfect for spring and fall. Great for the office, formal events, or casual outings. Longevity is good, lasting 8 to 9 hours with a strong sillage for the first two hours. It has that classic Costa Azzurra fougère DNA. Tom Ford isn’t cheap, but the scent might convince more than one person.

  • metroidsoldier

Smells like lemon and cypress, but without the oud. It’s fresher than anything else, though the woody oud note is definitely missing.

  • JovenAromatico

True to Tom Ford, I tried this expecting magic but was disappointed. I don’t trust YouTubers as much anymore; it feels like they get paid to praise it. It smells like my old classic Axe deodorant—no luxury, no Mediterranean vibe. I don’t recall any cheap teenage perfume sounding like this. If I remember, I’ll edit. The dry-down reminded me of the incense the altar boys threw in Catholic school. Cheers, that’s my take.
