It’s a bit more linear than Lattafa’s Masa, but with the same fruity, woody, and armored vibe. Emir is more linear, less potent (though it lasts over 6 hours), and more wearable than Masa, which performs better; personally, I’m sticking with Celestial. Both are cousins of Wajood, though the latter has more wood and moisture. On my skin, Celestial is more musky and dries to a floral-herbal scent, while Masa stays fruity-mineral all the way through, even when dry. It doesn’t feel very summery or teenage due to its density; I don’t know its original source, Ganymede. Try it before buying; don’t go in blind just because of hype or mainstream trends. It’s a great fruity fragrance, not overly sweet or office-appropriate, with that mineral and musky touch that competes with a bit of sweetness. The price is the same or cheaper than Pride Masa, so no worries, just test which one you like. My sense of smell might not be the best, but Emir Celestial reminded me incredibly much of Tom Ford’s Ombre Leather, just fresher with a toned-down leather note. I don’t know the Ganymede to compare them, though people say it’s a clone, but Emir absolutely blew me away; it feels very elegant and versatile for different climates, as long as you control the sprays.
