€275 for 50ml… A designer house (not niche) that launched a line during the pandemic and made us look at them again. Here’s the deal: the extrait is very different from the EDP, so owning both isn’t redundant. It opens with sweet myrrh that dominates, leaving smoky, incense-like, bitter, and leather notes in the background. Warm, refined, and cozy. Don’t be scared of the sweetness; it’s not gourmand. It’s unisex-masculine, linear, oily, and dense. Ideal for night. High performance, projection close to the skin, and a bubble that follows you; the best introduction is letting the scent speak for itself. My girlfriend tested it too, and it smells (with some distance) like a certain type of baked cookie, with that vibe. It’s not gourmand, but it brushed against that territory. It hasn’t been reformulated since 2023, which I appreciate as a fragrance head. It’s hard for anything to impress me, and this one did. I don’t take away any merit from the EDP, which is fresh and versatile, but this is one of the best scents I’ve smelled in the last two years. Is it a masterpiece? I understand that term as an artist’s (Quentin Bisch’s) standout work. I don’t know how much influence it will have on perfumery, but the answer is yes.

Turn the power up as high as you want, but if you want to save money, start a bonfire and your clothes will smell like this the next day.

As versatile as a chinchilla fur coat in a vegan community in Ibiza, but… I don’t care. It’s a guilty pleasure you can’t let go of. Imagine a trip to a posh neighborhood pharmacy from the 90s: refined leather and soft yet penetrating incense. What a sensory treat!

The perfect example of a faithful extrait: the original DNA remains intact even as the aquatic and ozonic notes drop in volume, leaving a drier, spicier, and peppery profile. That’s why I stick with the original Ganymede; having both sounds redundant. The longevity is nuclear.
