Descripción

Bella by Nina Ricci is a fruity floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2018, this composition was created by Louise Turner and Sonia Constant. The top notes unfold a vibrant accord of rhubarb, green mandarin, and lemon; the heart reveals the delicacy of freesia and rose; while the base notes land on the warmth of vanilla and white musk.

I’ve had the chance to try it twice, and honestly, I really liked it! ❤️ I’ve never really gravitated toward Bella before because the bottle; while it’s pretty, it never caught my eye—I’m more drawn to sky blue, pink, or clear bottles than green ones. It’s super fresh, citrusy, and slightly sweet. Very pleasant, as they say here, yes, it’s like taking a walk in the countryside on a nice day, just like that. Maybe you’ll think I’m crazy 😅, but I found it to have vibes similar to DKNY’s Be Delicious and Versace’s Yellow Diamond.

  • It’s the same as Armani’s Si Passione Intense. The weird part is that they supposedly don’t share the same notes, but they smell identical.

  • One of my favorite fragrances. The rhubarb opening is magnificent—sour and very different from today’s sweet trends. I think that note doesn’t disappear completely, though it fades as it dries down, becoming a bit creamier. It has moderate sillage and longevity, but I consider it suitable for reapplication throughout the day. It’s beautiful for spring and warm climates because it feels refreshing thanks to the lime and the sourness of the opening.

  • It’s like a green apple bubblegum scent; I think it’s both too sweet and too green at the same time. I wouldn’t buy it again and it’s not one of my favorites, but I love the bottle.

  • It’s very delicious. The opening on the skin feels a bit alcoholic, but only for about 5 minutes. Then it becomes fresh, not too sour. It’s neither sweet nor sour. I think it’s great for everyday wear, especially in spring or on heavy days. But everyone chooses what works best for them. I recommend it; it’s off the beaten path.

  • Wow. It starts sour, then bitter, and evolves into something fresh, fruity, and sweet (like orange glucose). Rhubarb, rhubarb, and flowers. It tastes just like rhubarb jam. Imagine eating rhubarb in a hidden lake surrounded by strange and beautiful vegetation. It’s not noticeable at first because of its unexpected and perfect evolution. It turns out fresh, delicious, youthful, and fantastic. A surprising perfume with a lot of personality.

  • The scent comes out very citrusy and fruity; to me, it smells more like grapefruit than mandarin. It has a slight natural sweetness from the fruit, but as it dries down, it feels velvety and creamy without losing the freshness of the opening. I think the creaminess comes from the rhubarb, similar to the Woman by RL (though they aren’t alike).

I want to give this fragrance a standing ovation because it’s so different from the other Ninas. It’s sour and green due to the bitter mandarin and rhubarb, and for me, it’s perfect for spring and summer. Many people don’t like it because of that sour tone, but I think it’s great and unique. For those who love citrus.

  • I fell in love at first sniff!! I noticed it on a friend and couldn’t help but ask what perfume she was wearing. Very citrusy and sweet, but not cloying; fresh for summer, though I’m wearing it in autumn. It lasts about 5 hours, but by the end of the day, you can still smell it after just one application. The opening is super citrusy, and over time, the musk comes through. Very tasty to my taste! Ideal for citrus lovers.

  • Green and bitter—that’s what really stands out, way more than the citrus. A touch of sweetness makes it very summery and fresh for daytime wear. Honestly, it didn’t blow me away; it’s nice, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

  • I bought this by mistake this summer and absolutely loved it. I’m not a fan of citrus, but here there’s a citrus-to-bitter-to-sweet evolution that’s a shock. Maybe that’s why opinions are divided. The rhubarb lasts the whole time; the apple sometimes seems tart but isn’t annoying, it becomes addictive. I’m not sure if I’ll buy it again. Oh! The bottle, the color, and the little insect on it are beautiful.

  • My favorite. It’s citrusy with a bitter touch; rhubarb and mandarin dominate, but it has a beautiful softness and sweetness from the flowers and vanilla. It’s fresh and unique. The trail is huge; with Bella, you won’t go unnoticed. Longevity on me: 12 hours or more.

  • It’s delicious. I own many expensive and cheap perfumes, and this one always gets praised; it must be my skin’s pH highlighting certain notes. I really smell the rhubarb, rose, and mandarin. Even my dentist said, ‘what a delight.’ It’s joy in a bottle. I don’t see it for big parties or the office, but rather for picnics, visiting parents, hanging out with friends, or a quiet night out. It’s not sexy or super standout, but very pleasant if you like gourmand scents. It’s not for older people, but that’s just a label; it’s how you want to feel.

  • Grillilandia

I bought it in a rush because I wanted something more feminine for the office. The opening is nice, but it lasts only 10 minutes before evaporating, even on clothes. I regret buying it without testing it on my skin. The quality is terrible; it loses almost its entire composition within half an hour and leaves behind a fragile fruity trail.

  • I’m fascinated by it! I bought it with a pink Nina Ricci lipstick and loved everything about it. It’s super fresh and tart, with good longevity and always gets compliments. I feel it’s distinct, with a unique touch that makes it excellent. If you’re unsure, it’s worth it.

  • It smelled good at first, but I don’t like the tart apple aroma. It’s not bad, but I wouldn’t wear it since I usually go for sweeter scents. I think it could be good for intense heat days.

  • Sweet, sticky, sharp, and synthetic. I preferred the Les Sorbets version. This one feels heavy and dry with too much musk that made me dizzy. It’s much sweeter than green.

  • I’ve always wanted Nina, but they gifted me Bella, and I absolutely loved it; I felt like a witch in a fairy tale. It smells like a damp forest, a basket of sliced green apples, twigs, and a brook. It’s citrusy and different; even though I choose sweet scents, it didn’t disappoint. The downside is it doesn’t last, maybe just three hours. The bottle is a beautiful collector’s piece.

  • At first, on the blotter, I sensed something very sweet that I liked. But upon wearing it, the scent felt strange—a duality of accepting and rejecting it. For me, rhubarb and bitter green apple dominate. Personally, it lasted many, many hours on my hair and clothes.

  • Frangipane23

I completely overlooked this, thinking it would be a light citrus like Blue, since I prefer sweet scents. The notes didn’t grab me until I tried it, and then I fell in love. It doesn’t smell like lemon; it’s yuzu and tart-sweet green apple. In my skin, the freesia stands out over the rose. It’s fresh and sweet without being cloying, perfect for daily wear. I’ll definitely be back for this.

  • I love it. I tried it with a sample and fell in love. Even though I’m always drawn to more floral fragrances, this is one of my favorites. Too bad the store told me they stopped producing it.

  • Exquisite fragrance. I love it for its freshness and acidity that are fascinating, and that soften a few minutes later when the flowers appear, a perfect combination. The bottle is gorgeous and I highlight the ladybug on the leaves; it’s unique. I wish it lasted longer; it doesn’t even reach two hours and the sillage isn’t noticeable, but it’s so rich that I forgive that. It brings me joy every time I apply it.

  • Frambuesas

A rhubarb dream. The original La Nina is too citrusy for me, but Bella is the perfect balance between sour and sweet, with a beautiful vanilla base that harmonizes the composition. It reminds me of Aura EDT, but while Aura smells like sexy grass, Bella is a mysterious forest nymph you can’t help but chase. Bella is perfect green.

If you’re looking for a fresh, unique scent with good sillage and you like rhubarb… THIS IS YOUR PERFUME! Since I smelled it, I fell in love. I’m already on my second bottle and considering buying a third. It’s one of the few fragrances in my collection that I repurchase when they run out. These are addictive scents you can’t live without. I love wearing it in summer: it gives me vitality, happiness, and makes me feel fresh and motivated.

  • ivagyelen

It started as a perfume I hated, then I ended up loving it; it’s one of my favorites: a tart green apple with a sweet touch, addictive.

  • I really love that green apple, a bit tart, which evolves over time into a sweet vanilla that isn’t overwhelming. I feel it’s perfect for informal daytime events, a picnic, running errands, etc. It’s not a sexy fragrance; it’s feminine in the sense of a ‘nice girl,’ not a ‘femme fatale.’ The bottle is beautiful and I loved the ladybug detail.

  • yesicabelmontee

Honestly, I bought it blind and it smells very sweet. It’s a fresh apple at first, then turns into vanilla and stays there. I don’t recommend it; it lasts very little on the skin and isn’t that affordable. 4/10.

  • FloorPerfumeadicta

Successful blind buy! The star is rhubarb, followed by a soft vanilla, while the other notes are barely there. Packaging 10/ aroma 8/ longevity 3/ sillage 2. I love the scent but wouldn’t buy it again because it doesn’t last or project at all. If it were a top note, it would be amazing. Perfect for summer, very fresh; if you like fresh fruity perfumes, this is for you.

  • Realista nefelibata

Blind buy and total hit. I wore it on a 75°F sunny day and the performance and sillage were excellent. On me, it’s like a creamy passion fruit foot: acidic at first, but then it settles and becomes rich, vanilla-like, and woody. I didn’t smell much rhubarb or flowers, but note that this isn’t for everyone.

  • I went for the notes and have no regrets: it’s sweet and citrusy at the same time, giving off a youthful vibe. I imagine the scent of a candy house in the middle of the forest, Hansel and Gretel style. Wish it lasted longer and projected more.

  • This is a party of citrus and freesia, but it’s a non-sweet citrus; I feel it’s the acidic part of the peel, with a tiny hint of talc (the only thing I sense of the rose), some rhubarb, and vanilla is absent to my nose. Although not listed, I sense a soft wood. This is bottled summer joy; I feel it even lifts my mood. It has praiseful projection and lasts about 6 to 8 hours, but it’s worth it. The hotter it gets, the richer it becomes. Recommended!

  • Julietaisidora

I love it so much! Citrusy, floral, with that sweet acidic finish boosted by vanilla. I adore it. The first time I used it, it felt a bit synthetic, but then I fell in love with the scent. People have complimented it, and I’m sad it’s not available in Chile anymore. It has good longevity and, in my opinion, works well in any season!

  • My favorite Nina; I own Nina Rose, but it feels too soft to me. This one has that acidity and sweetness I love; it feels like a super wearable fresh rose, a mature citrus like Light Blue Forever. I tested them side by side on my skin, and they feel like twin sisters to my nose.

  • Andreaurbanchic_

It’s a fresh floral aroma, very summery, but it’s really designed for any season. It has a fruity trail and excellent skin longevity, making it totally recommended for a blind buy.

  • I really liked this perfume; I think it suits any season, but personally I prefer it for spring and summer due to its floral and citrus aroma. I received many compliments from both men and women, so I believe it’s a scent everyone can enjoy, with a perfect balance. I even think that besides being timeless, it’s for all ages, as it’s neither too youthful nor too mature.

  • It’s discontinued in Chile, but I managed to get it from the US a couple of months ago. I like citrus and green notes, so I bought it blind. The opening is refreshing and rich, thanks to the mix of sweetness and citrus acidity with green rhubarb taking the lead. I don’t notice the florals, only the initial acidic, sweet, and herbal phase, followed by a musky and vanilla base. It has low longevity and projection, but it works well for cooling down in the heat. I like to overapply it to enjoy the opening again, but on me, the vanilla becomes very potent when it dries, which I dislike. Unfortunately, the bottle is more ‘Bella’ than the fragrance itself. I enjoy the refreshing opening, but the overall scent doesn’t fascinate me; I might prefer a DKNY Be Delicious. The bottle is a treasure, like something straight out of a fairy garden to keep, but I won’t buy it again due to international shipping. Anyway, I’ll enjoy every last drop of this lovely green apple.

  • It’s a green apple with a citrus twist and an anise-caramel sweetness, even though it’s not listed; that note is potent. It smells strong in summer but goes unnoticed in winter. It was one of the first perfumes I tried without knowing much about fragrance; I loved it in the store—it was affordable but smelled refined, totally underrated. It smells expensive, but the longevity isn’t long. SUMMARY: If you like anise candies, you’ll love this. If you like sweet but not cloying scents, it’s for you. Longevity is 4 to 5 hours with moderate sillage. I wouldn’t buy it again just because it doesn’t last long and I change perfumes frequently.

  • I’m writing this as one of the last reviews for the Green Apple line, since it seems Nina Ricci is closing it down, leaving only the classics like Rouge Crush and Venus. It opens juicy, sweet, yet fresh, like morning dew. Then a jelly-like rose syrup emerges with a crisp, acidic fruity touch, perhaps rhubarb, which gives the green apple some air. Everything is very fresh and sweet. It leaves a herbal, liquorice trail but stays green. What a pity I didn’t dare buy it before stock ran low. Mine is from 2017, so I don’t expect spectacular longevity, but I’ll take great care of it because the bottle is beautiful.

  • On my skin, it forgets the sweetness and settles into an acidic green note, lacking any creaminess or vanilla—pure bitterness. The bottle is gorgeous and initially deceived me. EDIT: I gave it more chances, and now I absolutely love that citrus zing; it’s perfect for the hottest days.
