Batch 08/2021: Starts a bit alcoholic, then a super green, aquatic bamboo emerges. For the first 15-20 minutes, the bamboo dominates while the aquatic notes fade slightly. By 30 minutes, the water becomes subtle and stays in the background as the bamboo slowly fades. It leaves a very green, woody trail with a hint of amber at the end. You can smell a bit of jasmine, which adds cleanliness, but it’s supportive. I don’t detect the cotton flower at all (I probably wouldn’t be able to identify it anyway). Overall, it smells very green and clean. Longevity: On my skin, it lasts 4-5 hours if you ask nicely. On clothes, it lasts a bit longer, but nothing crazy. Sillage: Very weak; noticeable at 1.5m (with wind) for the first 30-45 minutes, then lasts about 2 hours before losing strength and sticking close to the skin. On clothes, it holds up better, but still not much—I recommend applying more to get those 5 hours I mentioned. Age: Suitable for everyone; it’s unisex, though the woody bamboo notes lean slightly masculine. Season: Ideal for spring and summer in non-humid areas. Time of day: Mornings and afternoons; it lacks the power and personality for night. Occasions: Given its performance and scent, I recommend it for daily wear, walks, grocery shopping, etc. (For some reason, the green scent feels perfect for going to the countryside, beach, or nature). Value rating: 6.5/10—the scent is good, clean, and fresh, but the performance keeps it from being a great value or limits frequent use. It seems pricey for what it gives, though if gifted at Christmas, I wouldn’t recommend buying it unless you try it and fall in love (which seems unlikely since it’s discontinued). Conclusion: A short-lived perfume, but it delivers.

I was gifted this perfume a couple of years ago; personally, I don’t like it much. I find it very synthetic, like an air freshener. It’s not bad, it’s a scent that works, and I don’t think anyone would reject it. But I have almost a full bottle left. I stick with Bamboo Water, which I would buy again, but that one is also discontinued.

It is, without a doubt, a simple fragrance, like many by Adolfo Domínguez. However, it has a special charm, with a discreet magnetism that makes it an irresistible option for daily wear. With this fragrance, you’ll smell good, you’ll smell clean, with a balanced mix of green and marine notes. The most notable thing is that it manages to convey that sense of freshness without resorting to citrus, something common in many successful fragrances. That’s where its true uniqueness lies: a clean and distinctive aroma that combines green and marine notes without relying on citrus.

Although I am a woman, I have often used this fragrance. I love bamboo in almost all its versions, and in this case, it is well done, although eventually it gets buried in amber. I prefer it to the feminine version from the same house.

I’m quite new to this; I was one of those who wouldn’t buy another perfume until the current one ran out… a year ago, and strongly advised by forum opinions, I got into perfumes by season, brand, etc… One of the first was Citrus Cedar, and I loved it for summer. A bit influenced by that, I bought Bamboo… and total disappointment. On my skin, I can barely distinguish a very faint powdery and synthetic scent. I don’t recommend it at all, along with CK One, the worst of at least 12 I bought in 2023.

I deduce it’s due to the calone, which gives that effect in perfumes like D&G Light Blue. It’s a distinct and uncommon scent, risky to buy blindly. Performance: 5-6 hours, average-to-low projection. Avoid extreme cold, but especially heat; autumn is its moment. Price: fair.

A slightly alcoholic and chaotic opening that calms down in minutes. Very citrusy and herbal at first, then a powdery, musky, and super-clean heart. It maintains that fresh, sea-reminding style almost all the time, leaving only a rich amber halo. It’s a fresh, adult, and warm scent, distinct from standard summer fragrances: it’s not sweet or fruity, so I wouldn’t recommend it for young people. I see it as formal but wearable at any time. I liked it a lot; it doesn’t resemble the Vetiver Terra from the same house (which I’m fascinated by); this one is more bitter and adult at the start. The longevity isn’t great, so I’d wear it in a perfume rollerball if possible.

A pleasant fragrance that doesn’t stand out but doesn’t go unnoticed either. I sense the marine notes, a creamy touch from the amber, and at the end, those green bamboo notes (to me, it smells a bit like shaving foam). It was a pleasant surprise because my girlfriend, who isn’t one to give compliments, praised the scent, which caught my attention since it’s not very different. On projection, don’t expect much, though for the price, it doesn’t hurt to spray more to cover it up. It’s super affordable; I wouldn’t buy it again, but it wasn’t bad either. I wouldn’t recommend it 100%, but if you have the chance and you like it, don’t hesitate; it’s versatile. Ideal for summer/spring daytime, work, or classes. For nights out, I think it would get overshadowed by other perfumes, so I wouldn’t recommend it for that.

At first, I couldn’t stand it and gifted it to my dad, who finished the bottle and told me he loved it, so I bought it again. It’s very hot here, between 29 and 38 degrees, so I only used it on cool days. It’s an amber and musky hug, nothing feminine; my girlfriend loved to stick to me to smell me. I only wore it if it was under 26 degrees. I didn’t buy it again because now I use the 212 VIP Smiley for the heat, but today, with what’s left in the Bamboo bottle, I’d honestly switch back to this.

They gifted it to me and I was surprised. Although many have said bad things, I just say that I like the scent (semi-sweet) and it lasts perfectly for eight hours on my skin. I have to try other proposals from this brand.

Young and extroverted, that’s this perfume.

This fragrance isn’t very fresh; it starts with a hint of freshness but quickly turns sweet and woody, with hints of shaving foam and a barbershop vibe. Very masculine. To give you an idea, it’s like a softer, creamier version of One Million, with green and barbershop touches, though it doesn’t smell old. I find the scent very good and pleasant, especially in winter. It’s noticeable; it seems soft but leaves a trail. On my skin, it lasts about 8 hours: great performance for the first 2 hours, then it stays closer to the skin but maintains a sillage until the fifth hour, where it becomes skin scent. For the price, the performance is excellent. I find it better for winter and cooler climates since it wraps around you like a scarf; in summer heat, it can get cloying. I use it for couples, dates, hanging out with friends, or going out at night. It has a seductive character that doesn’t go unnoticed. I think it suits any age, but it really hits the mark after 25.

Strong green scent. I’m not sure why people compare it to Armani Code; there are no similarities. Bamboo dominates, which prevents the fresh notes from coming through (in fact, I found it more versatile in winter). Good value for money, but I don’t think many will repurchase it. Despite being affordable, it lacks both everyday versatility and the special occasion vibe. It can be quite overwhelming in romantic settings. Scent: 5 / Quality: 6 / Longevity: 7 / Projection: 7 / Versatility: 4.

I tried it yesterday at the supermarket. Honestly, I had some expectations, but it left me totally indifferent. It’s not unpleasant, but it didn’t offer anything special either. I can’t even say what it smells like beyond a soapy dry-down. Bamboo certainly isn’t particularly aromatic. Maybe I’ll give it another shot later.
