It’s absolutely identical to Prada’s Infusion d’Iris. Maybe it’s softer at first, but the dry down is practically the same. Athalia costs €205 versus €50 for Infusion d’Iris. What a pity that for that price it’s not something more special and original.
Skin floral. It’s a light, daytime, versatile, and quite shy perfume. In my opinion, the iris and orange blossom are in similar proportions, so it’s not deep or dark as its bottle suggests. Longevity holds on the musk close to the skin. It has quality ingredients, but they’re barely perceptible. For me, it’s not good enough for the price.
I agree with the previous comments: on my skin, it faded quickly. Given a scent that doesn’t impress me and minimal sillage and fixation, the quality-to-price ratio is quite bad. I’m grateful to have known it in the discovery set.
Parfums de Marly usually makes inspirations of known perfumes. LAYTON: almost a clone of Boss Bottled but with a mentholated touch. OAJAN: supposedly a clone of Hermès Ambre Narguile (I haven’t heard it). With Athalia, it smells like a cheap brand cologne, like Clinique or Bath & Body Works body mists. A pricey house reaches this level of quality, which is surprising that all the YouTubers boast about it as if they agree or were paid to. The sillage and longevity are very low for an excessive and misplaced price. The worst I’ve heard of this pseudo-niche snobbery.
Orange blossom with powdery iris and musk. Dry down has a slightly earthy touch, but the longevity is quite poor. I understand it reminds people of Infusion d’Iris. It’s a discreet floral and not very original. I wouldn’t buy it because I already have perfumes that evoke the same thing for me.
I love it and always need it in my collection. I adore the orange blossom; I come from an Arab country where orange blossom water is part of the culture. It’s nostalgia and feeling identified: it takes me back to my childhood, in my grandmother’s courtyard, smelling the blossoms while making sweets for us. The orange blossom is present all the time, along with my favorite note, iris, and an ambered, musky base that isn’t excessive. I can smell all the notes, something I struggle with in other perfumes. Don’t leave me, love for Athalia. I feel it’s a therapeutic perfume.
My favorite PDM perfume, surpassing the famous Delina, Valaya, and Oriana. It’s elegant, soft, and feminine. On my skin, it lasts over 12 hours, evoking tranquility, relaxation, and an embracing cleanliness. Very lovely; I don’t understand why it’s not more famous. I highly recommend it; it’s a beautiful scent.
