What a spectacular fragrance. Bursts of dry oud and a medicinal touch wrapped in a fresh, bright rose; I feel the cold spices dominate the warm ones. Sometimes it smells like soap, other times very woody. Suddenly it reminds me of the opening of Acqua di Parma Colonia Oud Intense. As it dries down, it feels drier than Arabians, very masculine, ufff, it’s intoxicating. The notes come out in constant bursts, everything changes, sometimes one dominates, then another. If you don’t like Oud, this isn’t for you. It’s not a universal hit because of that medicinal-oak-bitter facet that doesn’t hook many. It doesn’t have that legendary projection and longevity from Fragrantica, it’s more medium, but the final result is sensational. A perfume with great personality, regal and full of character.

I’ve tested decants of Arabic perfumes with Oud and recognize it’s a heavy scent, but I like it; I don’t see it as a daily signature, but if I’m in the mood for Oud, Arabians seems more refined, elegant, and versatile than other Arabic scents. The downside is that it fades quickly in projection and on my skin doesn’t last more than 4 hours, quite close to the skin. Although subtle, I enjoy it more than others that are monsters in projection and longevity. I see it well for fresh or cold days and for formal events or the office, since it’s not too intrusive. I bought the 20ml bottle blind thinking maybe to gift it to my partner since it’s very masculine, but fortunately, although it leans that way at first, I find it very pleasant for women who like Oud, so it’s staying with me.

At first, you smell spices and cardamom, something medicinal and decongestant, pleasant and masculine. Over time, the spices and masculinity soften and it becomes more unisex. You can detect patchouli, so I wouldn’t recommend it to those who don’t like it. It doesn’t smell dirty; the leather is clean. I liked it, but I feel it’s more unisex masculine. I would have hoped it paid better homage to the Arabian horse, with a stronger leather and animal notes. Horse lovers recognize that addictive and memorable scent worthy of representation. Here I only perceive the ‘Arabian’ concept, but not the ‘Arabian HORSE’ that this perfume sought to represent as the king of the East.

Arabians is that classic Middle Eastern blend of rose and oud, but with a twist that makes it incredibly cozy and sophisticated. Without a doubt, it’s the fragrance in my collection that screams luxury. Its longevity on the skin is brutal, perfect for special events in the cold or indoor settings. You need a formal outfit to do it justice. As it dries down, notes of leather and smoke bring to mind elegant salons with leather chairs, a fine table, and a crystal ashtray.

I read reviews and everyone talks about oud, cardamom, and other things… honestly, what I smell is leather and an animal note, like horse sweat. Not saying it’s bad, on the contrary, I love leather scents, just I don’t get that wood note as prominent.

A gorgeous and super fresh fragrance that smells luxurious, although the bottle felt a bit lightweight, perhaps because it’s made of aluminum.

@Atalcadita Smells like Oud wood, and watch out, it’s not pure gold. In the end, I think the Oud scent isn’t your strong suit.
