I walked into Julia Perfumerías determined to find a great perfume sweet and creamy price didn’t matter I just wanted something to mark the new year 2024 and my upcoming move. After testing one with a saffron base from the same brand and a Juliette Has a Gun Lipstick Fever… hmm I don’t know I don’t know… this one appeared suggested by the sales associate. Good lord good lord I smelled it and went wild: this is it! Just it! This is the one! No doubt whatsoever exactly what I was looking for. It hit my nose and my limbic system like those Dracula poles vanilla raspberry 80s-90s summers… I got so excited what a masterpiece! So beautiful so delicate so feminine… so original. It’s not floral not a cloying gourmand vanilla it’s freshness. I got home put it on under my wool sweater and she hugged me and made me smile. Good lord she’s gorgeous. I wanted to mark this new adventure with a new scent and I succeeded welcome home Ani. I love you. Edit: I’ve been wearing it for two hours and it’s surprising me a lot it smells like a ton. Tomorrow when I wake up I’ll see if it still does hehe.

Well fresh out of the bottle it’s a vanilla with ginger and some citrus that predominates. The quality and note combination are great but I find it doesn’t stand out. It could work for daily wear on cool days or a date but spending $350 on a date perfume isn’t a luxury I can afford right now. I expected a bit more.

  • An expensive perfume that starts like a tiger and turns into a kitten. Rich aroma but it doesn’t last long maybe two or three hours.

  • Bought a decant on sale. Sroma is fascinating but has poor longevity and projection. You can only smell it right up against the skin. Paying that much for something so weak isn’t an option. Maybe I was sold a fake decant I don’t know. Rich and unique aroma but poor performance.

  • I tested this fragrance on my arm when I got it and found nothing special; it seemed too soft and weak agreeing with several comments that it’s not outstanding. Only when I wore it out did it become totally different: the citrus and ginger opening is potent and as it dries down it becomes vanilla with woods and a faint citrus touch. I couldn’t even smell it yet I got tons of compliments. The shirt kept the scent for several days. I think it doesn’t project but people can definitely smell it a few meters away. It reminded me a bit of the vibe of Allure Homme Blanche with that lemon pie touch but super refined. I consider it totally unisex.

I think I judged Wulong Cha and the ANI fragrance too harshly. I gifted them to others and when they wear them they smell incredible fill the room and last forever. They are a different caliber far superior.

  • peperinafragancia

Creamy talcum-like vanilla with a light touch of orange but vanilla definitely dominates. You can tell the ingredients are high quality. Definitely unisex. Good longevity and projection at least on my skin.

  • 2022 Batch: a masterpiece loved by 99% of people. High-quality citrus with powdered vanilla very elegant. Average longevity and projection about 5 or 6 hours. The liquid is oily noticeable on the skin but by the end of the day it fades and you have to sniff your neck. Verdict: not worth the price; Lattafa Nasheet smells exactly the same I own both and they last the same but Ani costs ten times more. If you want to enjoy an incredible scent and have the money go for it.

If Gucci Envy were a Pokémon The One Gentleman would be its first evolution and Ani by Nishane its second.

  • jeisoncf9

Sweet and spicy vanilla with ginger and cardamom that has earned me tons of compliments; it never goes unnoticed. Although I don’t know how the new batches are mine is potent projects well and lasts over 10 hours on the skin without needing to sniff my own neck; all the magic is in the trail. A masterpiece.

I’m in love with Cécile… everything she touches I like. And ANI was love at first sight. Those aromas where as soon as one molecule touches your pituitary, you hear Gregorian chants. For me, it’s perfect in both scent and performance. I’m reading that the latest batches have longevity problems… Well, I can’t say it’s not true. Next month I’ll buy a new bottle because I’m already finishing the one I have and I’ll be able to judge it myself. But what I can say is that the one I have now is working wonderfully. Without being an exaggerated skin longevity, about 6 hours hold up perfectly and with a measured but effective projection. It doesn’t flood any room, but in a close conversation it’s noticeable. That sparkling, citrusy opening that gives you goosebumps on your nose from the red pepper, bergamot, and ginger; a spicy and oriental transition thanks to the cardamom that takes you in a whirlwind to a fascinating sweetness of the best quality vanilla, where benzoin is submerged and finishes off with the creaminess of sandalwood, ambergris, and cedar. THIS IS WASTE NOT! It makes the skeptic a believer. In summary: Age 20+, 100% Unisex. Any climate, although I prefer it in cooler weather. Scent: 10/10. Longevity: 7.5/10. Duration: 6-7 h. Projection: 8.5/10. Versatility: 9/10. $$$$ Final Score: 8.6/10. UPDATE: my worst fears were confirmed. I just bought a new bottle and, much to my dismay, I can affirm that the new batches of ANI are not what they used to be. It has lost strength, that’s true, but the longevity is still good and the projection, although intimate, is present. It’s true that for a perfume at 345 euros and with Nishane’s fame, you expect an unstoppable beast, a Bengal tiger… but what you receive is an Iberian lynx, at most. Disappointing. Despite everything, it remains in my Top 5, because the essence remains. Scent: 10/10. Longevity: 6/10. Duration: 5-6 h. Projection: 6/10. Versatility: 9/10. $$$$ 3.45 €/ml. Final Score: 8/10.

I always hesitated to buy this fragrance because so many votes indicated it was feminine, but a deal of almost 50% at Notino made me fall for the temptation. A perfume of exquisite quality, with a ‘made in Nishane’ longevity. The truth is it’s the most unisex perfume I have, but perfectly wearable. If you prefer something with a more masculine plus, I recommend Imperium Elixir, another jewel. Edit: After the first day of use, I changed the longevity to ‘moderate’. I let myself be carried away by the Hacivat bomb, but what’s that, at most 5 or 6 hours.

  • Rocio Basurto

I smelled it first in the bottle and it seemed delicious. When I applied it to my skin… oh, disappointment. It comes out like an insect repellent with lots of citronella, I don’t know why I perceive that note. In the drydown it improves but I don’t like the aroma at all, for me it’s a strange mixture. It wasn’t for me.

  • Let’s start by saying I tested it on a tester at the perfumery that surely had been sitting there for a while, so I can’t speak about longevity or know what batch it was, nor about reformulations. I notice the aroma is quite linear, but what stands out most is in the drydown, where you notice that fresh vanilla, nothing cloying, with a spicy touch and something more; it reminds me of the smell of a Marie biscuit. As for longevity, I can’t say much, but the first hour it was all about me getting bursts from the wrist. Now it’s been 5-6 hours since I applied it and you can notice a very soft vanilla close to the skin. Scent: 8.5/10. Longevity: ?. Duration: ?. Projection: ?. Versatility: 8/10.

I have a 5 ml decant of ANI Nishane, so maybe I can’t judge it completely, but I’m sure that after half an hour with two sprays on each forearm, I felt a very recognizable smell (90% similar) to Halloween Man X. That sweetness while drying down to skin-level is the same… I checked the notes and the only thing they match according to the website is cardamom and bergamot, which makes the similarity in the drydown strange. What I am sure of is that whether it’s the vanilla of ANI or the tonka bean of Halloween Man X, they are going down the same path to sweetness.

  • ANI has the punch of any oriental perfume, although its notes at first glance promise something fresh. On stage, ginger appears with bergamot and a warm sensation given by the pepper, followed by cardamom and the rest. It’s a sensation of hot infusion with a perfect balance between ginger, bergamot, cardamom, and something sweet. It’s a great autumn and winter perfume for both men and women, with a wide trail, long-lasting, and intriguing character. It could be too noticeable in small spaces. It has to fall in love with you; the sweet and soapy ginger notes or its use in formal evening situations, knowing you’re wearing something powerful, warm, and different. (I have an old decant that was a monster in potency, I don’t know if they changed the formula).

  • ANI has had me crazy for months, and I only managed to buy it a few weeks ago. I waited so long because, after reading reviews, it was heavily criticized for the longevity of the new batches, and I didn’t want to spend that much on something that would last a little. I understand it was reformulated in 2022; while there are criticisms of the 2021 batch, I got one from February 2021 and I couldn’t complain. As soon as I removed the cellophane from the box, I felt the perfume with force, and it intensified when I opened it. In my opinion, it has a heavy and perceptible trail, and it lasted me more than 12 hours on skin. It has a citrusy and ‘spiky’ opening, evolving into an incredible spicy and creamy vanilla. I’m fascinated by its evolution; every time I smell it, I’m surprised. I love it with all my heart; I can’t put into words how happy I am to have it 🤎

  • It’s a total bomb. Three sprays are more than enough. It has a very different vanilla from what you find in other fragrances. 10/10.

  • ANI by Nishane positions itself as one of the best niche fragrances today. This masterpiece starts with a well-marked citrus and spicy explosion, generating intrigue about its evolution. A few minutes later, a magical aroma blooms thanks to the combination of vanilla, rose, currants, benzoin, and amber. This blend creates an olfactory experience that leaves everyone speechless, showing admirable depth and richness. Its performance is excellent; you can’t ask for more in terms of longevity and projection, distilling incredible quality from start to finish. ANI shines and stands out in any collection.

  • A brutal find. At a perfumery, a salesperson recommended a tester they claimed was an inspiration for ANI by Nishane. I loved it so much that I sprayed it on blotting paper, carried it with me all day and the next. I left it in a drawer and it perfumed the entire week. I became addicted and consumed the decant in two weeks. It’s an instant classic, timeless. Dense but not cloying, deep and respectful, warm without being overheated. I don’t feel a single synthetic note. It’s meant to be enjoyed so your clothes and sheets smell like it. A 10/10. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it. For these creations, new niche perfumeries are definitely worth it. Now, Cedrat Boise has moved to history; although I liked it too and it has nothing to do with Ani, when I tried them together, it was the one that obsessed me.

  • An exquisite perfume. It rests on a perfect balance between citrus, spicy, and vanilla notes, combined with supreme ingredient quality, making its aroma unique, perfect, and addictive. A touch of subtle, stimulating sweetness, elegant, original, sparkling, and attractive. Even if you’re not a fan of vanilla perfumes, this always conquers. Longevity is very good, and sillage too. It doesn’t fall into the beast mode category, nor does it need to, but it lasts 8-9 hours on my skin with medium-high sillage for two hours, followed by sustained medium sillage throughout its development. Unisex. Highly recommended.

  • This is beauty in a bottle. Sweet, fresh, aromatic, and herbal all at the same time. A brutal combination.

  • Casablanca77

Finally, I reached Ani, and it’s so beautiful. I had tried it before, but after getting a sample, I wanted more and more. I love its strong ginger note; it’s a very original, citrusy vanilla, but a different, very cheerful citrus vanilla. Unisex, definitely. It has something that makes you return to it again and again. In years, it’s one of the few that has arrived to stay; that’s a lot because I’m fickle and easily in love with perfumes. I think it’s a perfect representation of modern, carefree vanilla for anyone and any occasion. A gift for the nose.

  • An exquisite and different vanilla. The opening has the freshness of Layton, a fresh note I believe is from a hyper-realistic ginger, but it disappears within an hour of applying it. The longevity is insane; I woke up the next day and could still smell it, so much so that I put the shirt in the wash because it was radiating the fragrance. The 100ml bottle will last me a lifetime.

  • It’s a scent that denotes cleanliness! It has an opening with pink pepper, a fascinating smell that makes it a bit sweet. Then you feel exquisite cardamom, which, when combined with the pepper and a resinous tone, makes it feel like you’re smelling a sweet liqueur 😋😋 Although it’s more of a nighttime perfume, I see it as very wearable; you could use it for any occasion (I even wear it to the gym). It has great performance, about 8 hours, with very good sillage. A discrete and very versatile fragrance, I’d say. A bit similar to Lattafa’s Khamrah, though this one is more versatile. 💯% recommended 🕉️🕉️🕉️

  • EricDraven

Evolutionary, balanced, with many facets ranging from the citrusy and spicy ginger to a subtle vanilla accompanied by spices that make this Ani a delicious olfactory journey. A marvel. Vanilla perfumes usually turn me off right away, but this is another world.

  • Avalon1224

A vanilla-infused Hacivat that makes it elegant and neutrally unisex. The fresh, citrusy opening is immediately dominated by vanilla and woods, which stay alongside that characteristic earthy patchouli scent. At the end, the vanilla persists strongly with a smoky touch, very rich. Excellent fragrance, though I prefer the Hacivat; however, this one will surely be perfect for vanilla lovers.

  • Archeologist

🍰🌼 Ani hugs you ▪️ Ani is elegant yet friendly. It smells like money and someone who knows what they want in life, with a lot of personality. It’s sweet, with a spicy ginger kick. And the incense accompanying the vanilla makes it very beautiful. My nose gets used to it very quickly, and I stop smelling it quite fast. Longevity and projection, in my opinion, are moderate. For some reason, it reminds me of Naxos; together with Ani, they are my favorite fragrances. I struggle to imagine using it in a very informal setting; if I wear Ani, I need to go with a shirt, with determination. Here I am, and this is how I want to smell.

  • Mitafragance

Wow, what a beauty. Love at first sniff. I think I’ve possibly found a signature scent without even looking for one. It might be a unisex aroma, but it has a very feminine personality. It’s secure yet delicate, that kind of quiet, calm confidence so typical of a woman. It has an educated, restrained joy; it’s precious, absolutely.

  • I ordered a generous sample since I heard it has the densest vanilla. Is it dense? Yes, but for me, it’s a totally masculine scent. I can’t see myself wearing it. It has a sophisticated and powerful edge. The dry down is rich, so I’ll give it a chance.

  • Franco Palmisano

Another gem in the perfume world; the quality of this fragrance is beyond words, it’s simply Nishane. The richest, most authentic vanilla you’ll ever try. What they’ve achieved with this creation is incredible. If you like sweet perfumes, this is the best you’ll find. You’ll understand its depth and quality after just 3 or 4 wears. After that, you’ll just enjoy the best sweet perfume in the industry!

  • Felipestbvn

This perfume is a marvel; it mixes citrus in the opening and then leaves a sweetness I’ve never smelled before… (except Althair, they don’t resemble each other, but the sweetness is equally exquisite). The truth is, it’s totally worth the price.

  • Ani is exquisite, different, bold, and addictive. Complex yet easy to wear. A unique vanilla, not simple or cloying, but creamy, refined, and balanced. Extraordinary evolution that gets better with every minute. Opens citrusy, spicy, fresh, and energetic with bergamot and ginger. In the heart, creamy and enveloping vanilla with hints of rose and cardamom, keeping the spiciness alive. The dry down is one of the most addictive; woods (sandalwood and cedar) emerge, adding depth and elegance. The base is warm, sensual, and balsamic, very long-lasting. The evolution is smooth and continuous. Performance exceeds 10 hours with medium-high sillage at the start. Ideal for autumn and winter. It grabs attention and makes people ask what you’re wearing. Nishane Ani is impeccable: power, elegance, and balance. It proves vanilla can be sophisticated. Simply magical. Rating: 9.5.

  • Ani is one of those few perfumes that makes you smile the moment you smell it; you know it’s going to be a bottle soon. Opens with a sharp lemon softened by pink pepper. That citrus-spicy opening sets the stage for a vanilla flan wrapped in ginger, adding a spark and preventing it from getting cloying. That balance of warmth and freshness is where the magic lies. When it settles, it becomes silky, enveloping, and even more addictive. The base woods emerge, adding elegance and depth. Perfect unisex perfume to share, performs better in mild weather but works well in winter too. No complaints about the current batch; it accompanies me perfectly throughout the day. If you like vanilla and citrus, Ani delivers hands down. Longevity: 7-8h. Sillage: 7/10. Originality: 9.5/10. Quality: 9/10. Value for money: 7/10 (162€/100ml).

  • I don’t get the people who think it’s simple and don’t like it; I’m not bothered, everyone has their tastes, but I don’t understand. I think it’s super versatile and unisex; maybe I wouldn’t wear it at 35°C, but never say never. It’s sweet, spicy, warm, and fresh all at once, perfect for any occasion. A solid 10.

  • Reformulated and ruined… a shame that niche houses with sky-high prices reformulate with lower-quality components and shorter longevity for the same price. It was love at first sniff, much better than Hacivat, but the reformulation killed it. Not worth it anymore; it doesn’t last or project like before. I’ll never buy this reformulated version again.

  • albertonose0104

WORTH EVERY EURO IT COSTS. IF YOU HAVE THIS, YOU’LL NEVER NEED ANOTHER GOURMAND FRAGRANCE. ONLY NAXOS COMPETES WITH IT; THE REST IS NOWHERE NEAR COMPETITING. BRAVO.

  • ANI evolves; don’t let the opening fool you, take your time. Apply it to your skin and take a walk. In 30 minutes, it transforms and reveals the vanilla everyone talks about. Be patient and you’ll enjoy its quality.

  • costabrava23

My favorite perfume, definitely a masterpiece. Dense, dark, creamy… with a pleasant citrus and ginger opening, followed by amber vanilla and woods. Absolutely crazy. Totally unisex, though men with a fragile sense of masculinity might find it a bit feminine; honestly, it suits women better, but I don’t care. It’s incredibly sexy, you can tell it’s expensive, lasts long, and projects well without being overwhelming. Everyone will notice you, but without being heavy.

  • Beautiful perfume, top-notch composition, worth every penny. Starts mentholated and evolves into a deep, enveloping vanilla with a burst of potent citrus in between. The trail, projection, and longevity are off the charts.
