Ambre Ceruleen is a beautiful, modern, even avant-garde fragrance. It explores various facets of an amber oriental in an original way. It opens with natural CO2 verbena mixed with synthetics, exploring the almond facet of Tonka Bean; the contrast is lovely: slightly sweet almonds with a touch of lemon citrus and a soft floral note. It evolves into a balsamic drydown, sweeter, powdery, and denser due to the opopanax and sandalwood. On the other hand, the Tonka Bean turns into something more soapy, smelling like a wax accord, a bit looser than the opening but still interesting, pleasant, wearable, and of good quality. Rating: 7
