Starts super citrusy with floral undertones, and the coriander gives it a unique touch. Sometimes it smells a bit medicinal, but it’s very addictive. Then it settles with benzoin and vanilla, though you still notice the initial citrus. As it dries down, heliotrope makes it more powdery and talcum-like, giving it a more feminine air than the beginning or middle phase. It has incredible longevity and projection. I see it as unisex: the first two phases are more masculine and the finish more feminine. I think it works better in the cold due to its depth, but it can work well in moderate climates too.
Starts with a citrus and floral touch, where the coriander gives it that special vibe. Sometimes it smells a bit medicinal, but it’s very addictive. Then it settles with benzoin and vanilla, though the initial citrus notes remain. As it dries down, heliotrope makes it more powdery and talcum-like, giving it a more feminine air than the start and middle. It lasts a long time and projects well. Excellent fragrance from Laboratorio Olfattivo and perhaps one of my favorites from Cecile Zarokian, which is saying a lot since she’s the author of highly relevant current perfumes like Tango by Masque Milano, Private Label by Jovoy Paris, and recently hired for the relaunch of the Jacques Fath line. It’s quite original: it’s citrusy but not how we know it, as those citrus notes are heavily blended with the rest. What stands out most to me is the balsamic note of benzoin, the patchouli very characteristic of her, and a powdery floral note that suits her perfectly, I believe it’s heliotrope. For me, though it’s hard to classify, it’s a semi-sweet balsamic with a floral-powdery touch, sometimes approaching gourmand, ending with a balsamic finish. It’s complex, very well-blended, original, and totally unisex, but most importantly, it smells very good and is elegant. Longevity is moderate-to-high, no exaggeration (about 7-8 hours, even more), and sillage is moderate. Very interesting!
Top fragrance from Laboratorio Olfattivo and one of Cecile Zarokian’s best, the author of hits like Tango by Masque Milano. It’s very original: it seems citrusy but isn’t, because the citrus blends with everything. What hooks me most is the balsamic benzoin, her signature patchouli, and a powdery floral, heliotrope, which suits her perfectly. It’s a semi-sweet balsamic, floral-powdery scent, sometimes gourmand, ending balsamic. Complex, well-blended, original, and unisex, but most importantly, it smells great and is elegant. Longevity is moderate-to-high, about 7-8 hours, with moderate sillage. Very interesting.
Indeed, it smells very similar to Shalimar and I loved it. The opening is super citrusy, with lots of orange blossom and a touch of lavender that calms it down and prevents it from being too sharp. As it dries down, what I notice most is heliotrope, vanilla, and benzoin, giving it that powdery touch that makes it very feminine, though it remains unisex. Although the notes say patchouli, I don’t smell it much here. I see it as ideal for transition times, neither too cold nor too hot. Longevity is very high. I liked it a lot, even if it doesn’t dethrone Shalimar.
It’s true it smells like Shalimar, but with way more punch. It starts very citrusy with lots of orange blossom and a touch of lavender that calms it down and prevents it from being too sharp. As it dries down, heliotrope, vanilla, and benzoin take over, giving it that powdery, very feminine touch, though it’s totally unisex. I don’t smell as much patchouli as listed. Ideal for transition days, neither too cold nor too hot. The longevity is brutal. I loved it, even if it doesn’t surpass Shalimar.
Kashnoir was lingering in the air; the notes hooked me immediately, and I managed to get a 10ml decant. If I’d known how much I’d be delighted by it, I would have bought the 50ml, and now I know it’s a bottle. Honestly, it’s a perfume that kicks the pants off countless scents costing twice as much. It’s intoxicating. Even for a novice, you can tell the quality of the citrus and the custom blend that evolves with floral and benzoin notes. Without a doubt, it’s the ‘citrus’ scent I was looking for—sparkling at the start and seductive/intoxicating at the end. It’s not long-lasting on my skin, maxing out at +12 hours. A 10/10.
