Cadjmere is another one of Pierre Guillaume’s tricks: take a classic vanilla and woody scent and give it an unexpected twist with myrtle. Sometimes it smells damp, other times it adds a green, ‘fougère-like’ touch, similar to the basil in Lalique’s L’Insoumis. The coconut and sandalwood maintain a rich creaminess that, combined with the myrtle, creates something that works great for me, even if it might sound weird to others. I see it as more masculine, ideal for cold or mild climates, with good performance and suitable for any occasion. It’s been a great find and I think it’s worth trying. I’d own it. Rating: 8.5/10
