I bought this on a colleague’s recommendation from this site. A very enjoyable fragrance—a creamier, sweeter grapefruit than Light Blue. Out of pure curiosity, I tested it on my wrist alongside Tygar, its inspiration, and honestly, for a newbie like me, they’re very similar. Extremely similar. I must confess, Tygar faded faster and became more reserved. There’s no comparison in terms of price. Maybe Bulgari’s scent is more natural? Perhaps. Or maybe I’m just trying to justify the insurmountable price gap. Cheers.
Spectacular! A solid 10/10. Perfect for extreme heat days. In my opinion, it’s one of Lattafa’s best. I’d buy it again without hesitation.
4.5/10, best thing ever.
Bought it after reading a recommendation from a friend. A very enjoyable fragrance, a creamier and sweeter grapefruit than Light Blue. Out of pure mischief, I tested it wrist-to-wrist with Tygar, the one it emulates, and honestly, for a novice like me, they are very similar. VERY similar. And I must say honestly that Tygar became much quieter and disappeared sooner too. In terms of price, there’s no comparison. Maybe the Bulgari scent is more natural? Maybe. Or maybe it’s something I tell myself to justify the insurmountable price difference. Cheers.
If I had to describe this perfume, it’s like drinking a grapefruit soda served in a wooden glass. On my skin, it lasts well—I get about 6 hours—but I asked several people, and they say after 8 hours it’s still there but very close to the skin. It projects well for the first hour, then leaves a fresh trail. Personally, I like it, but I expected better projection given the ambroxan note, and I assume the dry down gives that soda-like feeling.
An incredible scent. But wait, on me it doesn’t last at all. Let’s see what use I can find for it. EDIT JULY 11, 2023 I had it and swapped it for another fragrance. Honestly, the scent isn’t bad but the performance is the worst (at least on me). I used the fragrance 3 times and all 3 times the scent disappeared after 20 minutes. Obviously, I ended up regretting it so badly due to such terrible performance. Anyway, if you’re one of the people where it works well and performs great, from the heart I say: so jealous and enjoy it a lot. On me, a total fiasco in performance. Even scares me to buy another from Lattafa. That’s all, sending you a huge hug and many blessings.
Let’s start by saying I’m not an expert in notes. At first sniff, this reminded me of Bleu de Chanel EDP or Parfum (I can’t pinpoint exactly since I’ve tried them but don’t own them). I’m not saying it’s the same, but the vibe is there. Regarding Tygar, I can’t comment because I’ve never tried it. Otherwise, it’s a standard perfume in terms of longevity and projection, doesn’t stand out in anything, but for the price, you can’t ask for more. It does its job at a low cost. NOTE: Re-tested in decant. Compared to Turathi Blue, which smells practically the same, this fragrance feels very weak. Almost can’t smell it, projects nothing even in the first hours, and longevity is average. If you’re looking for that Tygar vibe from Bulgari, go for Turathi Blue without thinking, same aura with much better performance.
If I had to describe it, it’s like drinking a grapefruit soda in a wooden glass. On my skin, it lasts well; I feel it for about 6 hours, but when I asked others, they said it lasts 8 hours after application, though it stays very close to the skin. Projects well for the first hour and then leaves a fresh sensation. I like it, but I expected better projection given the ambroxan note and that refreshing feel.
Tested in decant. People from Argentina, don’t fall for the hype of buying these Arab scents blindly. I understand the noise on YouTube and Fragrantica, but you can get them for $30-50 worldwide. Here you have to spend a bit more and buy designer brands. I’ve seen the Amber Oud Bleu Edition priced higher than the Bleu de Chanel tester on the grey market. The fragrance? A nice grapefruit with ambroxan. Not much more. It’s good, but don’t get blinded by the hype.
This scent is exquisite. I haven’t smelled the Bulgari, but if this is a clone, it’s executed very well. Elegant, masculine, sophisticated, and suitable for any occasion. I own the Maison Alhambra Inmortal version, which is identical but of lower quality; I prefer this one. As for performance, I can’t ask for more at this price point. Highly recommended. Thanks, Lattafa, for this gem.
This fragrance is exquisite. I haven’t heard the original Bulgari, but if this is a clone, it’s very well done: elegant, masculine, and sophisticated for any occasion. I own the Maison Alhambra Inmortal which smells the same but has worse quality. I prefer this one. For the price, you can’t ask for better performance. Highly recommended. Thanks Lattafa for this gem.
Just bought it and it’s delicious; however, the performance is disappointing. Still, I recommend it for the pleasant scent. When I finish it, I’ll move on to Turathi.
Great dupe, smells delicious: freshly cut ginger, grapefruit, vetiver, and sandalwood… but the projection is very poor, barely lasts two hours even when applied generously.
Very blue-toned scent, smells amazing and lasts well. Works great for night too. It’s super versatile, but I’d avoid wearing it in winter.
The scent is very original and quite linear, dominated by the amazing grapefruit, with barely perceptible sandalwood and musk in the base. The only thing I criticize is the longevity: on skin, about 6 hours maximum, and you can still smell it until 4. I’m very satisfied with the aromatic quality, but not so much with the performance
This is an all-rounder for all four seasons. It resembles the Tygar by Bvlgari much more than the Turathi Blue
Turathi Blue was my favorite fresh scent until now, one of the first I bought. But this one by Lattafa has surprised me immensely; I didn’t expect that quality. They are very similar, but this one seems more citrusy and natural to me. What a hit!
Turati Blue has been my favorite fresh scent so far, one of the first I ever bought. But… this Lattafa one has really surprised me!!! I didn’t expect that level of quality. They’re very similar, but this one feels more citrusy and natural. What a hit!
I consider this the freshest and most elegant one I own, alongside Turathi Blue by Afnan, Viking Dubai by Bharara, and Jean Lowe Immortal by Maison Alhambra; all excellent dupes of the great Tygar by Bvlgari. In my opinion, the best dupe is Viking Dubai, followed by this one (Al Qiam Silver), then Turathi, and finally Jean Lore
I bought it and it’s a marvel, a very fresh and elegant citrus. On my skin, it lasts 8 hours and projects about 3 feet. I would definitely buy it again. My recommendation: let it macerate for about three weeks before using it for the first time, and it will be an absolute bomb
I was looking for something citrusy, versatile, elegant, and with good projection, and I found it. What a hit; it smells delicious; I’m smelling it right now while writing this. I had it tucked away for a couple of months and today I remembered that amazing aroma. That grapefruit and ginger make a winning combination, with an addictive ambroxan and a musk that makes it creamy and slightly sweet when dry, without losing that exquisite citrus DNA. How delicious, my goodness! At first, it didn’t smell as strong, but over time it becomes fantastic. It’ll be one of those that if it runs out, I’ll buy it again. For any moment, occasion, or weather, a winning scent and a compliment magnet. I highly recommend it, guys
I tested it against the original Tygar, one in each hand, and after five minutes they were indistinguishable. It’s the perfect example of how Arab houses sometimes nail the inspiration, almost copying it word for word. In terms of longevity, it easily lasts a full day at the office, and you can still smell it hours later
Authentic bargain; I paid $34 and it could have been cheaper, but there’s no complaint about the scent. I compared it to the two Tygars by Bvlgari, and the similarity is 90% to 95%, though this one has more projection. It’s worth it because the originals cost nearly $500. If you want to smell great with incredible notes, this is your perfume, one of my favorites. Plus, the bottle is so durable that it fell from 1.5 meters and only chipped a little, nothing serious
Very good fragrance, citrusy and clean, but not soapy; it has real freshness. The longevity is moderate, nothing bad, but it’s unlikely anyone will dislike it. Highly recommended
If I don’t know what to wear, this is my savior. It exceeded my expectations, outperforming both Tygar and Sospiro Vibrato. If you can only buy one perfume for extreme heat, this is the one. It smells incredible—fresh yet dries down to a rich, creamy finish thanks to the musk, without being heavy. Even though I prefer sweet scents and hate citrus, the grapefruit here works wonders, and the ginger adds that unique touch that makes you want to keep smelling it. It’s superior to many others and the most wearable in my collection :v
