  Don’t be fooled by the notes; in my opinion, this is a totally feminine fragrance. It opens with a very strong makeup-like scent that lasts about 15 minutes, then the flowers mixed with sandalwood emerge, turning into a pleasant sweetness. The longevity is quite poor, so I ended up gifting it to a girl. Don’t buy it blindly.

  I don’t get why Fragantica lists this as ‘for men,’ because I believe perfume has no gender—if you like it, wear it. That said, the notes lean feminine, so I’d 100% recommend it for women. It’s literally an almost identical dupe to Black Opium; that coffee-and-jasmine combo is super prominent. Women who are empowered and love sweet scents with that Black Opium vibe, give it a try—you’ll absolutely adore it.

If you’re an empowered woman who loves sweet scents with that vibe, give it a try—you’ll definitely love it.

  It smells exquisite and is very easy to enjoy; I recommend it blindly. It has subtle coffee notes that give it a distinctive touch, and mixed with the flowers, it works beautifully. I find it totally unisex—I’m a man, I wear it, and I’ve already received compliments from women. Use it without fear. It’s not beast mode, but the longevity is good.

  As a woman, I can confirm it has attractive floral notes for girls, but it projects an empowered vibe without being overwhelming. I loved it 🙂

  In my opinion, it’s for women, but men can wear it too; it has good projection and longevity for the price. I recommend buying blind!

  Al Layl is my first impression of Al Wataniah, and now I take the brand more seriously. I started tempted by that exquisite raspberry with coffee and clean lavender, but it’s clearly a feminine fragrance; I don’t want its fate to be my girlfriend’s perfume bottle, like what happened with Al Nashama by Lattafa. Then come the peach and flowers, jasmine and roses, drying down slightly woody with patchouli. Olfactorily, it’s gorgeous, though the projection is personal and intimate, which isn’t bad. The key is to choose based on what you’re looking for; I’d love to embrace a woman wearing it with confidence. Longevity on skin is moderate to low and it loses intensity, but I insist the scent is incredible—modern perfumery and highly recommended for women. Maybe in another life it’ll be among my top choices.

Olfactorily, it’s gorgeous, though the projection is more intimate, and that’s not a bad thing; the key is choosing based on what you’re looking for. I’d enjoy it hugging a tall woman. Longevity on skin is moderate to low and fades a bit, but the scent is incredible, modern, and highly recommended for girls. Maybe in another life it’ll be among my top picks.
