I really liked this version: fruity suede leather, fresh, mixed with something that could be pineapple but greener and herbal, plus that thick part which might be musk. I own both versions, identical bottles: Awaan Moss (more unisex) and this dark Ameed (men’s). I doubt it can be compared to Clive 1872; I tested them on each hand and they’re very different. Maybe Clive has astringent, heavy bergamot that clashes with amber, labdanum, and leather, while Ameed is suede leather, green pineapple, herbal, tangerine peel, and sometimes a thick marine note. I washed my hands with soap and only used water to remove the perfume; after hours, and even after final drying, scraping, and re-washing, they got closer but remain very distinct. Don’t buy this thinking it smells like Clive 1872… NO! In fact, it’s closer to Cerruti 1881 Signature at the start and Trussardi Riflesso Blue Vibe at the dry-down due to those notes. Still, great performance, original, nice bottle, and it gets compliments. Mine is from the UAE, not the made-in-India version, just in case.
Smells incredible, totally different from anything I’ve tried. It’s a fruity leather that’s delicious and easy to wear. Giving it 10/10. Lasts 7-8 hours on skin with a 2-hour sillage. Highly recommended; it’s one of those scents that opens your eyes at first sniff.
I’ve been wearing it for several weeks and frankly, it wasn’t what I expected. It wasn’t expensive, came in a first-class bottle and box, but I didn’t like the scent. I’ve never received a compliment; the spicy part is too high, the pineapple isn’t really pineapple but spices, it’s very noticeable, and after a couple of hours, the projection fades. Although you can feel the leather at the base, I’ve never perceived leather this spicy. There are many better options from Lattafa; I don’t recommend it.
I’ve worn it for weeks, and frankly, it’s not what I expected. It wasn’t expensive, and the bottle and box look premium… but the scent didn’t work for me; I’ve never received compliments. The spicy notes are too strong, the pineapple doesn’t smell like pineapple but rather like spices, it’s very intense, and after a couple of hours, the projection fades. Although you can detect the leather in the dry-down, I’ve never perceived leather this spicy. There are many better options in Lattafa; I don’t recommend it.
Don’t be fooled by the fruity notes; it’s not 100% summer, but rather for between seasons and daytime use. As it dries down, the leather takes over with a soft fruity touch, but not as bright as it seems (that mature suede dominates). The pepper and a slight musk add seriousness. In summary, it doesn’t win you over at first glance and isn’t youthful; I toned down that leather, which, combined with the pepper, adds a sense of ‘darkness’. I don’t see it as a must-have since Lattafa Pride offers more varied scents. Recommend testing before buying. Normal projection for the brand, longevity is still being tested.
In short: leather with citrus. I love it; it gives a luxurious leather vibe, it’s sexy, and it’s for ages 28-30 and up. Few things on the market offer this scent at this price point.
I’d buy it blind just based on previous reviews, but be careful; it’s not an easy perfume. As soon as I applied it to my skin, I didn’t like it; it smells very strongly of shoe polish and stays that way for a long time. Luckily, I only bought a decant to try it.
I’d only buy it blind if I read the notes carefully, but be warned: this isn’t an easy fragrance. As soon as I applied it, I didn’t like it; it smells intensely like shoe polish and stays that way for hours… luckily, I only bought a decant to test it.
Bought it without checking, and it smells like pure synthetic to me.
It’s decent, but not very youthful; I don’t recommend buying it blind.
It’s good, but not as youthful; I don’t recommend buying it blind.
Reminds me of a hard-to-find classic: Clive Christian 1872. I own the Clive Christian inherited from a relative, and this smells like that. It’s not a 100% match, but it’s heading in that direction. Excellent Al Ameed fragrance with great value for money.
I won’t judge whether it smells good or bad; if you like Arab perfumes, go for it. This is very suitable for cold climates, quite heavy, and long-lasting. The claim that it’s inspired by Clive Christian 1872 must be a joke, because Clive Christian is fresh, while Al Ameed is leather and wood—they have nothing in common.
Bought it blind and loved it; has moderate sillage, lasted 6 hours on skin and 3 hours of projection.

Dense, masculine, and warm fragrance, perfect for night or cold weather. Features mandarin, pineapple, and black pepper, followed by animalic suede leather; very well-constructed and great quality for the price. Reminds me of the 90s, and I wish Zara had something like this in their ‘Vibrant Leather’ line.
