I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews for this amazing perfume. I bought it blindly, fearing it might be a bad investment, but I was wrong. It’s a classy perfume with many facets; sometimes you get marked fruits in the style of Erba Pura, but the white flowers tame that beast by softening it (without losing intensity). Other times, the green notes shine through with the white flowers, making it very fresh and wearable for spring-summer or warm climates. For me, it was a total hit. It pleases others and lasts the entire workday without losing power. Given its intensity, projection, and longevity, it’s reliable for starting the day without needing reapplication, which is key for me since I spend most of my time outside. It’s elegant, perfect for formal work or going out. Very versatile. If you like Erba Pura but find it untamable, Accento Overdose is your option: a ‘tamed beast’.
The opening notes are delicious and fresh. The problem came with the white florals: they gave me a headache and nausea, so I had to wash it off.
I don’t know why the chemistry was so bad with my skin; I don’t feel it as fresh or identify the notes. I perceive it as honeyed and dense, like overripe fruits. Right upon application, there’s a horrible urine-like smell that eventually fades, but it’s nothing like what I expected.

Sweet without being cloying, with that soapy touch from the aldehydes. A dream of a scent, a masterpiece with modern brushstrokes from the old school. Lasts for hours and projects widely before becoming moderate over time. It easily becomes my signature scent; I wouldn’t mind smelling like this every day.

The opening is a floral-fruity aromatic with green notes, then the aldehydes and flowers (especially Damask Rose) take over—dark, honeyed, and intense. There’s a tiny dirty edge, perhaps from an undisclosed oud, but it’s not bothersome. You can detect a bit of eucalyptus and pine towards the end. Comparing it to Dior’s Oud Ispahan, Thameen’s Peregrina, and Franck Olivier’s Oud Touch, the others feel more beautiful and elegant, whereas Accento Overdose doesn’t bring much innovation. Performance is excellent (over 24 hours on skin, even after a shower, and much longer on clothes). Projects strongly for the first 4 hours before softening. Recommended to test before buying blindly.

The opening is an aromatic floral-fruity mix with green notes; soon the aldehydes and flowers take over, with Damask Rose standing out among the whites. It settles in dark, honeyed, and very intense. It has a tiny dirty edge, perhaps from oud (even though it’s not in the pyramid), but it’s not annoying. There’s a hint of eucalyptus and pine, almost imperceptible, more visible at the end. It’s multidimensional; my mind compares it to Dior’s Oud Ispahan and Thameen’s Peregrina in certain phases (if you know them, though OI and Peregrina are more beautiful and elegant in my opinion), and with Franck Olivier’s Oud Touch, the more affordable version (which doesn’t mean it’s less beautiful; quite the opposite, as I own both and compared them). If you have any of these, there’s no need to buy AO, and besides, the ones mentioned are more stunning, while AO doesn’t bring much innovation. It leans heavily feminine due to that wall of ultra-persistent white flowers that vibrate high. There’s a sharp pine and a hint of fruit, but nothing like Erba Pura or Erba Gold. It works year-round, but in spring, it looks absolutely incredible.
Sometimes it smells like Dama Bianca, other times like Mancera’s Roses Vanilla. It’s unisex thanks to that mentholated vibe reminiscent of ambergris, paired with a very clear aldehydic rose. The scent is linear and lasts all day, though the mentholated eucalyptus can be a bit sharp and strong at times.
