I see it as feminine; on me, it opens with plum and white flowers, evolving beautifully through the dry down, though I only detect the raspberry lingering until the very end. I don’t smell any patchouli (nothing like the Sexy Bomb). It’s a fragrance that, even if I don’t admit it, has a hint of incense that doesn’t quite work for me, unlike my husband who absolutely loved that touch. It’s ideal for cold days and, personally, I’d wear it for a night out in a closed space, perhaps something casual or semi-formal. I recommend trying decants before buying blindly. Sillage: 8/10, Longevity: 9/10, easily around 8 hours, very good. Original: 7/10.

Muse is dense, opulent, unisex but perhaps leaning more feminine. It smells of plum, white flowers (to me, neroli, but also jasmine), a slightly animalic leather, and a hint of patchouli, with an amber and resinous dry down. The accord I like most is the white flowers and the leather. It’s more for cold days and formal occasions, with moderate sillage and a longevity of 9 to 10 hours. Although I enjoy it, I wouldn’t repurchase because it hasn’t stolen my heart. Scent 7/10, Longevity 9.5/10, Sillage 7.5/10, Value/Quality 5/10, Versatility 6/10, Packaging 8/10. Would I buy again? No.

Seeing previous comments about Muse by Xerjoff, I see it’s a misunderstood masterpiece. Muse proposes something different: a fruity path with a strong amber and floral presence. It’s strong, dense, and distinctive, which some might find difficult to wear. But if you know how to appreciate it, you get something elegant and powerful. Although it’s not Xerjoff’s best—a brand with the world’s best perfumers—it is definitely not a ‘bad’ fragrance.

It’s very atypical; I have nothing like it in my collection, not even from the brand. The plum stands out and is noticeable throughout. You can smell the leather, the amber, the florals, and the raspberry. It’s an atomic bomb in a good way 🤍. For me, it’s a yes and I’d recommend it 🔥. Feels like suede soaked in plum juice, as if you’re squeezing it out with your own hands. At first, that floral note clings too much and slightly muddies the incredibly addictive fruity symphony. The performance is pure Xerjoff, nothing to say about it.
