I don’t understand how someone already posted that they hate it if they haven’t even smelled it. We’ll see how it is and then judge it.
I bought it today in Miami even though it wasn’t available for a few more days. They sprayed it on my wrist at 1:00 PM, and it’s almost 12:00 PM, and I can already smell it on my skin. I like it; it’s spicier and reminds me of Viking Cologne mixed with Aventus. The bottle looks physically better than Irish Tweed, and the material feels higher quality. A bit pricey, but if you can afford it, it’s worth it, in my opinion, more than the 10th Anniversary, which is almost identical to the original. But everyone should try it on their skin. They say it resembles Roja Apex and has a similar vibe, but it’s fresher. On skin, it’s very different. On paper, it’s more similar. Honestly, I liked it.
What if you mix Aventus with a pinch of Sauvage Elixir? Well, we have Absolu Aventus. Ultra masculine, for 30 and up, elegant and serious. It’s a beast of a perfume, hate it or not, though it’s somewhat generic because we already have those chords in Aventus, Sauvage Elixir, and Boss Bottled Elixir. It doesn’t invent anything new, but it unites two masculine and desired fragrances. If you don’t like Aventus or Sauvage Elixir, forget it. If you love them, you have to grab it. Very good longevity: it projects well for the first hour, then stays in a personal bubble of about half a meter with a rich sillage. After six hours, it goes skin-close but is noticeable until eight, and on clothes it lasts from one day to the next. As for price, I won’t get into it, everyone has their own money. If it doesn’t convince you, there are cheaper alternatives (though you won’t smell the same). The worst thing is that it doesn’t come in 100ml. Remember the 10% discount on the official website for your first purchase; if you’ve already bought, make another account with another email for the code. It ends up around 288€ with two free samples. By the way, the notes given by Fragrantica are wrong; visit the Creed website to know them better.
First impressions in-store. A flanker that wins over Aventus fans because it stays true to the original. I refuse to agree with others because the opening surprised me with that explosion of pineapple (even though it’s not on the label), much fruitier, sweeter, and fresher, with less smoke, adding citrus notes that Aventus lacks. In short, at first, it seems like an Aventus with more fruit.
If you love Aventus but hate the longevity of recent batches and are looking for something creamy and sweet (without going full dessert), missing a citrus touch without losing the pineapple, and have the budget to spend, this is a bomb. If this doesn’t apply to you, forget it, there are clones everywhere. I also sometimes get a goat pen vibe from it, but when I want to show off, Aventus Absolu is my king.
I bought a sample of Absolu Aventus to try before committing, and here’s my verdict: Exquisite opening, very smoky, with 20-30% Aventus DNA, but much more mature and dark, perfect for formal and evening events. I have to say, it smells more like Lattafa Asad than Dior Sauvage Elixir, though Creed’s quality is incomparable and clearly superior; that’s for sure. I prefer the original Creed Aventus to this version. If I had to rate it, I’d give it a 7.5; it’s very rich, but for the price, it’s not a guaranteed winner at 100%.
The scent is excellent; it’s a more mature and less sweet Aventus. Longevity is top-notch, but the sillage is weak.

I tried it yesterday at El Corte Inglés. The opening felt smokier, less fresh and fruity. As it dried on my skin, it became very spicy with a nod to Dior Elixir and echoes of Viking Cologne’s drydown. Overall, I see it as more mature and nocturnal. It loses freshness but gains elegance. Check out its fixative: oily but long-lasting. Projection is fair, but longevity is very correct. 7 sprays on my unfortunate skin lasted about 7 hours.
An embarrassment for Creed with this scent. As a lover of their classics, I feel we’ve lost an exclusive brand forever. This is capitalizing on success and olfactory ignorance; it smells like a high-quality commercial but very inauthentic. The fact that it’s a limited edition reinforces the concept: a Christmas rip-off. Where is the Aventus? Someone explain to me what has to do with it. If I smell it blind, I don’t believe it for a joke. Creed sold out to success and money; it no longer stands out for distinction. Embarrassing. No originality or development to justify the price. Of course, it will be a hit with the masses, I don’t doubt it.
I liked it, and honestly, the change was necessary. Basically, it’s Aventus mixed with Sauvage Elixir, as the experts said. I still had doubts, but it rates quite well. It’s not innovative because it smells like Aventus with that dark, smoky touch, and you can feel the pepper. The combination is good, and the projection and longevity are better than the OG of recent years, more like the 2010 batches. It projects for about two hours and lasts on skin for 9-10 hours. False that the pineapple isn’t noticeable; you definitely feel it. I bought the bottle on discount at a Saks Fifth Avenue because the official price is outrageous, but logical that it’s Creed and it’s a limited edition, costing 545 dollars. They overcharged, but I repeat, it’s Creed and it’s a great perfume. If you can afford it, buy it.
Aventus with a touch of Sauvage Elixir. At first, it smells exactly like that, but then the Aventus fades away in a sigh, leaving a pleasant and light fragrance, like a clone of the Elixir but less concentrated. It smells good, sure, but paying 320 euros? Not in a million years. Boss Bottled Elixir, which smells similar, costs four times less and is amazing.

It has a very attractive personality with that grapefruit note, very sparkling and effervescent, giving it a unique and standout side. I don’t think it’s redundant if you already have Aventus or an inspiration. It’s a correct flanker, very tasty, and good quality. If you think Sauvage Elixir smells the same, it doesn’t. Sincerely, it’s very good without being extraordinary. It suits young adults 25 and up. Nocturnal aroma as the bottle says. Versatile, works for any season. Scent: 9.0. When they talk about its night side, they’re right; that’s where it feels best, though I think it lacks a bit of push to compete with cheaper options with more projection. The duration isn’t bad, but its fans would want more. I’m not a Creed client, but I recognize they don’t make mediocre perfumes. People vote without smelling it… some say it smells like Aventus and others like Dior Elixir, how ridiculous! They’re different things. It already happened when they said any sweet-touched Aventus is ‘Baccarat Rouge.’ They’re watching too much YouTube and repeating nonsense. IT HAS CINNAMON! That’s what gives it the sweetness. End of story.

It’s exquisite and well-balanced, but if you’re looking for long-lasting performance or beastly projection, it’s not the best option. If you already have Aventus, it’s not essential, though it could be a good complement for nights. For me, a decant is enough to enjoy its sophistication from time to time.

It’s more masculine and elegant than the classic, which is daytime, citrusy, and wearable for any day. Super long-lasting, I took a shower and it’s still on my wrist. Between the two, I prefer the classic; I see it for over 40 years old and formal wear with a suit. Total quality, although there are clones that mimic it almost identically and last longer than the Absolú. I give it 8 out of 10.
Unlike the Dior Sauvage Elixir which only has the name, this Absolú Aventus is a real flanker of the original. The result is a more mature, elegant, clean Aventus with a modern fougere touch, not soapy. The Aventus DNA lasts the life of the perfume. Good complement to the saga, alongside the summer Cologne. It’s not dense or winter-like despite the bottle, suitable for any season except hot days. Ideal for formal/semi-formal situations and over 25 years old. Good performance. It happened to me with the Cologne: I would have appreciated a bit more differentiation. Still, they are highly recommended flankers with top aromas.

A disappointment and nothing original. Today I tested the Creed Aventus Absolú due to all the hype… and the disappointment was total. It’s basically a clone—yes, a clone—of the Dior Sauvage Elixir, which came out two years earlier, or even the Montblanc Explorer, which was on the market more than four years ago. Is this niche perfumery? The worst part is that the designer versions, at least Dior’s, feel much more refined and with higher quality ingredients. There’s no excuse for a perfume over 300€. Very disillusioned. This type of launch makes me think they are pulling our legs, those of us who truly love the perfume world.
If you think this is a clone of Dior Elixir, you’re wrong. The Savage lacks that typical pineapple of the Aventus; it starts with a citrus opening and then leaves that delicious cinnamon scent, which brings me back to winter afternoons drinking cinnamon tea by my fireplace. As for the Elixir, the sweetness fits with the Absolú but not with the pineapple or the cinnamon (I tested both for a full day on each hand).
I tested it with two 2mL samples and it’s a blend of citrus, moss, sweets, and spices with a classic touch. Although it sounds complex, after wearing it a lot, it feels simple. The dry-down isn’t linear nor does it have a striking development. Longevity is good but projection is short. It works all year except in summer, and on hot nights or winter if you don’t want to stand out. I don’t see myself wearing it with a suit due to that sweet spicy youthful touch, but it’s perfect for moderately formal dates. I idealized the perfume in the store and then faced reality, but that’s life. It’s beautiful and versatile, but not a work of art.
If it’s 75% Creed Aventus and the rest is pure excellence with that cinnamon in the fifth position adding an elegant sweetness that isn’t annoying, despite being spicy, it doesn’t bother the nose. I disagree with those who say it smells like Dior Sauvage Elixir; they are distant relatives, but this is distinct and there’s no similar dupe (I haven’t tried the Jo Milano one). It has excellent longevity and is extremely elegant for night wear. A gem at a ridiculously high price. As they say, to each their own tastes and perfumes. Hugs.
