  A fresh fragrance with a medium-low trail (remember it’s a cologne) but quite acceptable. It has the characteristic of smelling very natural, reminding me of those herbal tisanes one drinks instead of tea or coffee. It’s a relaxing, very herbal scent. Recommended for any age, preferably on hot days since its aroma is very fresh.

  Lemon balm at its absolute best. Fresh, revitalizing, and what surprised me most: its longevity. Out of all the 4711 colognes, this one lasts the longest and leaves the best trail. I love everything about this line, but this one gives me a deja vu effect, transporting me to another time.

  I regret not the scent itself, which is a very pleasant lemon, but paying so much for the 4711 Acqua Colonia Melissa & Verbena 50ml. Later I stumbled upon the Monix Verbena 220ml and paid no more than $7. I’d say the Monix Verbena has excellent quality and longevity for an eau de cologne, I believe it’s superior to this 4711 which fades so quickly on the skin. It’s a shame because it smells great, but regarding price and longevity, it’s not worth it. The Monix Verbena has such a real, natural opening of lemon balm and verbena, with hints of lemon; I don’t know the exact ingredients, but here is quality at a fantastic price.
