Curious perfume, with patchouli as the standout protagonist. To my nose, it smells like patchouli with damp, earthy, and chocolatey tones. The opening is very organic, featuring pepper and plum on my skin, making me think of oud with a slight liquor accord, nothing animal. As it evolves, the patchouli gains intensity, blending with that oud accord and the chocolatey tone; here, the pepper adds an edge. After several hours, the patchouli sheds those tones and becomes more classic and incense-like. Excellent quality, with personality and longevity well above average, at a reasonable acquisition price. Au revoir!
I sprayed it and immediately regretted it. I didn’t know the notes, but there was something green and musty that dominated my senses. I checked the notes and, after reading Señorcuero’s review, realized what repels me is the patchouli. I’ve tried several with this note, but never felt such revulsion. I’m not sure if it’s the combination or that it’s just too present here… But I can’t handle this fragrance.
I sprayed it on and immediately regretted it. I’m not an expert, but I smelled something green and musty that completely overwhelmed my senses. I checked out the notes and, after reading Señorcuero, I confirmed that what I hate is the patchouli. I’ve tried several perfumes with this note, but I’ve never felt such repulsion. I don’t know if it’s the combination or because it’s just too prominent here, but I just can’t handle this fragrance.
I read it smelled like wet earth, and upon trying it, that sensation really came through. Earthy patchouli, very prominent, but I like it. It had nothing to do with the kind of patchouli I expected. I liked it. For the price, it’s a great olfactory experience.
1989: Starts with a sharp, aromatic pepper top note. Then patchouli joins in with a plum base. In the dry down, it’s a blend of patchouli, a touch of plum, and dry frankincense. Projection lasts 6-7 hours, and longevity is around 10-12. Conclusion: it’s a fragrance built almost entirely on patchouli, supported by plum and that dry incense that gives it a vintage vibe. Its best moment is at the end, when the patchouli turns earthy (literally like mountain damp earth)—a delight for green scent lovers.
Notable fragrance. Smells like wet earth and citrus. 10/10.
At first, it didn’t convince me at all, but after giving it a few tries, I finally got it. Obviously, it’s not for everyone; it’s pure niche. To me, it smells totally masculine: I detect the pepper, patchouli, incense, and a slightly overripe sour plum. The patchouli is earthy with chocolate undertones (not sweet, though).
