  Fourth review in the Banana Republic Icon line and it’s the weakest of them all. The dry-down isn’t good; only the pink pepper, neroli, and finally the leather are noticeable, the rest isn’t worth mentioning. The initial impact is very faint, and so is the development; it stays extremely skin-close (2 hours and I’m generous). As I said, the weakest one, nothing to highlight, just to complete the collection. It’s unisex from head to toe. Although it’s cheap in my country (Argentina), in this line I’d rank first Pure White, Vintage Green, Neroli Wood, and Leather Reserve. What a pity.

  First in the Icon Collection line. Made in the USA, solid packaging with a simple bottle. Versatile, elegant, daytime scent, great for mild weather. Vibrates elegantly with moss and ‘ripe flowers’ (nothing feminine). Typical notes for the line. Not sweet, has a vintage vibe, meant for personal enjoyment. Sillage is weak, skin-only, but the scent persists (7 hours), albeit at a short distance. I recommend spraying more or applying to clothes. This Banana Republic line is well-constructed and worth the price. This Black Platinum diverges from its unisex sisters. Recommended for those who enjoy the scent more than the projection. I use it to rest my nose from intense fragrances.

  Totally unisex. Bought it blind and it was a bust. Smells strong, dark, and characterful, a bit ‘mature’. The opening is brutal, peppery and cactus-like, which some might find unbearable. It becomes more pleasant when dry, turning citrusy with amber leather. But it’s not for me; I’m a young man. Ideal for mature folks 30+, unisex, lasts a long time, projects strongly for 2 hours, up to 6-8 on skin. Perfect for summer nights.
