1 Million Black by Rabanne

I’ve never been a fan of the One Million line, mainly because of the number of flankers that exist and how cloying they can get. I remember the original as very sweet and a bit dated. Night Elixir smells good, but it’s the same old thing: very sweet, with no note to balance it. Then this Black came along, and something caught my attention from the beginning. Whether it was the bottle, the ads, or the notes, I had to try it. When I applied it to my skin, I felt that fruity punch, which I liked immediately. Mostly you get pineapple, a little less sharp than the SWY ones, and it lingers for a while until it gets creamier and the trio of vanillas and coconut comes out. The coconut hides among the vanillas; they do make it sweet, but I don’t find it as cloying as other versions. The wood gives it a dark/smoky touch. It’s linear—don’t expect an evolution—but projection and longevity are ridiculously good. The advertising says it lasts 48 hours, and it does last that long, though don’t expect it to project with the same intensity for two days. It leaves a nice scent on the skin that becomes addictive. It might remind you of a piña colada, but it’s not gourmand at all; it doesn’t try to replicate piña colada. It’s worth trying.

I’ve tried it a couple of times and, honestly, the scent is nice—a typical loud tropical with vanilla—but it feels extremely youthful to me, and I can only see it as suitable for parties… it lasts really well, though. It got a bit heavy and slightly annoying over the hours… for the younger crowd, it’ll fit right in. By the way, the resemblance to Lucky is in the bottle design, because they go down different paths.

Hi, just bought it, testing it, two sprays on my hand… Constant wafts… 15 minutes since I applied it. It’s a sweet scent, sweetish to the point of being cloying… Vanillas and tutti frutti… Others will say milkshake or ice cream… No, no, this has nothing lactonic about it… When I test it thoroughly, I’ll tell you more… Try it first, always. Regards.

How much must Croxatto have been paid to praise this perfume? Another mainstream one. Supposedly he doesn’t like sweet, vanilla, youthful perfumes. But he named it the best of 2026… There’s already so much hype around this perfume!!!

It smells like Night Elixir, but with juicy pineapple at the start (spoiler: it disappears after 30 min.) and with the maple syrup turned down, replaced by ultra-amber vanilla. There’s no trace of coconut or wood, maybe a very soft, light woody trace. Vanilla-amber to the max, that’s it. I’d say it’s pretty unisex in the drydown.

Vanillic, candied, sweet. Andrés Croxatto placed it among the best of 2026. However, something in the opening feels plastic: that’s the problem with putting citrus next to vanilla. It clashes without being unpleasant. In any case, the citrus goes away and what remains is mostly vanilla with coconut in the heart. Further down, you sense a bit of wood, something very subtly powdery from the patchouli; but above all a tonka bean sweetness. That’s the fragrance’s identity: it smells like a sweet vanilla-and-coconut dessert. Unisex leaning masculine. Never for sun and heat. It’s a fragrance intended for teenagers who dream of being eaten because they smell like a little dessert. It’s not for a gentleman looking to project a polished image. It’s for getting attention through a diabetic coma made into a scent.

It smells luxurious. I can’t find the coconut note anywhere, but once it dries down, the vanilla is super noticeable. It’s pretty youthful and I’d say it can easily be worn every day.

For coconut lovers, it’s crazy: addictive scent and impressive longevity, 12 hours minimum.

I just bought it. Since it’s not available in perfumeries or on their websites, I bought it directly from Rabanne. I suppose the price is inflated, but given how perfumery is these days, and even more so with designer fragrances, it didn’t seem unreasonable to me, especially considering the “gifts” the brand gives you. Bottom line: I perceive the opening of pineapple and blood orange as a fruity cocktail with a hint of liqueur that isn’t listed. It has three types of vanilla, but it’s not that gourmand vanilla you smell everywhere to the point of being sick of it these days. It’s sweet, yes, but not dessert-like; the wood doesn’t come across as very dark either — it’s there and you can perceive it, but in the background; it doesn’t take center stage. It’s true that it’s only been on my skin for a short time. At 2 hours after applying it, that’s what it is: fruity, elegant, not loud, well made, everything in just the right measure — the fruity, the sweet, and the wood. Everything at once, everywhere; not too much of this or that is noticeable, but nothing stands out like good friends. Rabanne promises 48 hours of longevity; haha, that’s bound to be an exaggeration, so I’ll test it thoroughly and come back here to disprove it.

I just bought it, it’s similar to Lucky but with much more power. I think it’s amazing. Wow. Delicious.

Excellent perfume. Quite youthful, sweet, and attractive with good longevity. The pineapple smells sweet and smoky, and then in the dry-down we have plain and simple vanilla, reminding me of Vanilla Powder and Invictus Victory Elixir.

Well, this is my first review and I hope it gives you something. In the end I bought it because of the hype, without being able to try it beforehand. I like the DNA of One Million, and the Lucky also appeals to me. I bought it mainly for the supposed longevity, but I have to tell you that it has disappointed me quite a bit. Le Male Elixir lasts and projects at least twice as much. Longevity 4-5 hours, projection 2 max. As for the scent, I find it quite youthful (I’m 30). So don’t get carried away by all the hype and, if you can, try it before buying it.
