About Cœur Fou

In its opening, the top notes unfold the freshness of blackcurrant and the herbal touch of basil. The heart of the fragrance reveals an intense and romantic florality thanks to the combination of Bulgarian rose, Turkish rose, and Damask rose. Finally, the base notes anchor the composition with the elegance of moss and Indonesian patchouli leaves.

Tested on blotter paper, it delivers exactly what it promises: sweet roses with a damp mossy base. It works, but for me, it’s excessively fruity and sweet. Ideal for autumn; in spring, it feels redundant, and in summer, with the heat, it can be overwhelming. Although it does work for nighttime terrace use during hot weather. It reminds me of Versace Dylan Blue, they share notes, but this one is sweet red fruit with rose as the star, whereas Versace is peach. It’s a fragrance that radiates joy, enjoyment, and beauty. I recommend it more to those who love sweet fruity scents than to rose seekers, because the former defines it more.

What an emotion to be the first review of this absolute treasure! To those who know me, they already know I’m a rose fanatic. I’ve collected over 200 perfumes, and although I didn’t count exactly, I’m sure more than half feature that flower. When I found out Coeur Fou existed, I started asking all my perfumerie contacts if there was a way to get it to Argentina. No one knew anything until the dream message arrived: Estefy, Coeur Fou has arrived! I didn’t hesitate and bought it blind… and yes, when I smelled it, I was completely won over. They are fresh, delicate, and feminine roses, with a green touch that adds even more freshness, ideal for hot days. The basil is very noticeable alongside the cassis sweetness, giving it a distinct twist compared to the usual rose scents you smell around. I’m wearing it today and I have to say, I love feeling its aroma when the wind blows bursts of this beauty. The longevity is excellent, lasting over 8 hours on skin. The sillage is moderate for the first two hours after application, then it drops to skin scent.
