  1. This perfume is amazing! The three distinct phases are noticeable, and it’s absolutely not linear. The fruity opening sparkles, but my favorite part is the evolution and dry down. I’m not usually a sweet scent person, but this is ideal: there’s sweetness, but no gum or dessert vibes—just elegant, spiced vanilla. It lasts over 8 hours on skin without being overwhelming. 10/10, one of my best purchases.

  2. Star by Mauboussin has a strong presence without being overpowering. It lasts well throughout the day with a moderate trail that’s noticeable but not overwhelming—perfect for events where you want to stand out. Ideal for cool climates or effortless elegant nights. Sophisticated yet easy to wear. Already my favorite spiced vanilla.

Just bought this masterpiece and agree with the previous reviewer, but that undeclared spicy note for me is frankincense. It’s potent, unique, and empowers the woman who dares to wear it. I don’t see it as versatile or suitable for those seeking soft fragrances. I’ll be enjoying this one all winter. ❄️

Luxurious packaging, attractive and matching the scent, though the cap is a bit tricky to remove. The opening is very sweet and fruity; I perfectly detect fig and pineapple, accompanied by an undeclared spicy note (some say pepper, I sense oud) that lingers in the dry down. Then the pineapple recedes, settling into coconut and vanilla, with tonka and praline joining in. Very sweet but not cloying; it projects well on skin. I sprayed it in the room and it lingered for a while, giving me confidence in its intensity. A gem for this winter.

Luxurious and original packaging that perfectly matches the scent, though the cap is a bit tricky to open. It starts sweet and fruity with prominent pineapple and fig, followed by a spicy note not listed on the bottle (some say pepper, but I sense more oud) that lingers on the skin as it dries. Then the pineapple fades, coconut and vanilla rise, and eventually tonka and praline come through, amplifying that sweetness. It’s very sweet but not cloying, projects well, and lasted a long time in my room, which gives me confidence in its potency. A real gem for this winter.

  6. Exquisite! When it oxidizes on the skin, it leaves just coconut and vanilla—a rich, soft sweetness. I think it lasts quite a bit, and I can definitely smell the pineapple at the start. Simply wonderful.

  7. Exquisite. When the perfume oxidizes on the skin, only the coconut and vanilla remain, creating a rich, soft sweetness; I feel it lasts quite a while and I can definitely detect the pineapple at the beginning. Simply wonderful.

  8. Sweet and creamy scent where praline, pineapple, coconut, and vanilla shine through. The sillage is moderate, and while it’s sweet, it absolutely doesn’t overwhelm—it’s delicious! I bought it blind and couldn’t be happier, plus the bottle is gorgeous.

  9. Sweet and creamy aroma; the praline, pineapple, coconut, and vanilla are clearly distinguishable. The trail is moderate, and although it’s sweet, it’s not overwhelming at all—it’s delicious! Bought blind and I couldn’t be happier; the bottle itself is gorgeous!

Great fragrance, vanilla-forward at first, then pepper, spices, and woods emerge. It doesn’t project much, but you notice it when you’re close. It reminds me of Lush’s Turmeric Latte, which is rumored to be a dupe for Replica… I’m not sure if that’s true, but it’s worth a try. Very distinct from typical gourmands and evokes those elegant, diva-like women from the past (note: the perfume isn’t vintage, but those spiced notes are exactly what’s missing). Maybe 2 to 3 hours of longevity, but it’s excellent for personal use. I’ll wear it in autumn-winter since I’m in Chile in March and the heat makes it hard to enjoy, but it’s worth it—it’s affordable and thoroughly enjoyable.

It feels like a Lush turmeric latte, which they say is a dupe for a replica… not sure if that’s true, but it’s worth it. Distinct from typical gourmand scents, it feels like those elegant divas from years ago (the perfume isn’t vintage, but it has that missing spicy line). I’ll wear it in autumn-winter because the heat in Chile in March isn’t enough to enjoy it much, but it’s worth it: it’s not expensive and very enjoyable.

This proposal is exactly as its name suggests, ‘a star.’ I dare say it’s been one of my best purchases of 2023. The bottle is beautiful; I haven’t seen such a unique container in the current perfume market. It has very marked three phases and a lovely evolution. In the opening, there’s more than just fig and pineapple; I also sense pepper (similar to Mademoiselle Twist from this house), followed by coconut. The most beautiful part is the dry down: the tonka bean shines with prominent Virginia cedar and light flashes of tobacco (it’s subtle, but I sense it). I’d summarize it as a fruity aroma with tonka bean, vanilla, and tobacco. I met it in winter, but I think it can be worn in other seasons. Although it’s for women, men can wear it too; it’s a unisex proposal.
