I really liked the Armani Private line. For me, unisex, it opens with sharp spices, fresh notes of bergamot and ginger, but soon a powerful, invasive cardamom takes over. Almond notes remind me of Bordeaux cannelloni. In the heart, it sweetens with very pronounced cocoa, accompanied by vanilla, a touch of soft incense, cinnamon, clove, and more cardamom. A big oriental gourmand. Very Christmas-like with spices, sweetness, chocolate, and soft coffee. It has reminiscences of Kokorico. When it dries, the resin is not prominent and the vanilla-tonka sweetness shines through. The tobacco is soft, slightly smoky, not the protagonist. Good longevity and medium-to-high sillage. I think if they lowered the cardamom a bit, it would be more rounded. The price isn’t justified beyond the exclusivity and beautiful design, but I’m not regretting it. A very good winter perfume.
Tanzanite is an addictive spiced perfume, perfect for winter or autumn, any occasion. It smells strongly of cardamom, cinnamon, myrrh, and tonka bean, sustained by tobacco and vanilla. It’s like that delightful first inspiration when entering a spice shop. Despite being heavily spiced, it feels airy, relaxed, and clean, thanks to the cardamom. I’ve thought about buying a larger size, but I don’t think it fills me up enough for the price. When I want pure cardamom, I use Declaration by Cartier; when I’m looking for something warm and sweet, I have other options. Regardless, it’s fantastic. Moderate sillage, longevity on skin over 12 hours. Scent 8.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 7/10, Value 5/10, Versatility 6.5/10, Packaging 9/10. Would I buy again? No.
Magenta Tanzanite is a spicy perfume that hooks you from the first sniff. It’s perfect for winter or fall, anywhere. It smells heavily of cardamom, cinnamon, myrrh, and tonka bean, with a touch of tobacco and vanilla that softens it. It’s like that first inspiration you get when walking into a spice shop. Despite how strong it smells, it feels airy, relaxed, and clean, thanks to the cardamom. I’ve thought a lot about buying the big bottle, but in the end, I don’t think it’s worth it for the price; while it’s exquisite, it doesn’t fill me up enough. When I want a cardamom overdose, I stick with Cartier’s Declaration. If I’m looking for something warm and sweet, I have other options in my collection. All in all, it’s a fantastic perfume. Moderate sillage and lasting over 12 hours. Scent 8.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 7/10, Value 5/10, Versatility 6.5/10, Packaging 9/10. Would I buy again? No.
Wow, this perfume. As they say, it’s addictive. Spiced opening with cardamom, then comes cinnamon and tobacco. It gives me a vibe similar to the cinnamon in Angel’s Share and resonates like Constance by Penhaligon’s, but this is superior. The tobacco is very noticeable, exquisite; I’ve been fascinated by that pipe tobacco. I’m keeping this above Tobacco Vanille. A great discovery for pipe tobacco lovers and fans of addictive, sensual scents.
Amazing perfume. As others have said, it’s addictive—that’s the word. Top notes are spicy, with cardamom present, and cinnamon and tobacco come out right away. It gives me a vibe similar to Angel’s Share cinnamon and a feel like Constance by Penhaligon’s, but this is far superior. The tobacco note is very noticeable, exquisite; I’m fascinated by this pipe tobacco. Aside from Tobacco Vanille, this is my go-to. A great discovery for pipe tobacco lovers and especially for those seeking addictive, sensual fragrances.
They compare me to Tobacco Vanille; I own both and they don’t resemble each other at all. I love you, Magenta Tanzanite, what an exquisite, sensual, and evocative aroma, a sexy witch perfume. What a beautiful bottle and color. It’s one of my favorites.
I tested Changing Constance and Tanzanite on different wrists. The first one is lovely, spicy, and well-blended, but it doesn’t last long and has poor projection. The second one doesn’t have that flaw: its longevity and projection are impeccable. However, for me, it only smells like unlit cigar tobacco with a hint of vanilla. Definitely not for me, and I don’t recommend buying blind.
I tested Changing Constance on one arm and Magenta Tanzanite on the other. The first one seemed lovely: spicy and well-blended, though with poor longevity and projection. The second doesn’t have that flaw; Magenta Tanzanite has impeccable longevity and projection. However, for me, it only smells like unlit cigar tobacco with an extra touch of vanilla. Definitely not for me, and I don’t recommend buying blind.
I had been wearing Tanzanite for months and loved it, although I felt it lacked sweetness. I bought Minuit et Demi, which is similar but with that sweet touch I needed, although it doesn’t last long. I decided to wear them together and loved it; I got the best of both.
I tested it only on blotter, so I won’t judge how it performs on skin. I was looking for a similarity to Changing Constance by Penhaligon’s… and it doesn’t resemble it, nor are they the same style despite the tobacco. What did immediately remind me of was Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford. They aren’t identical, but if I have to associate it with something, it’s that one.
It reminds me a lot of Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford, although the opening seems a bit fresher, with lots of vanilla and bergamot.
Not on the opening, but once it dries, it smells quite a bit like Angel’s Share; you can detect the coffee, and it settles into a vanilla with tonka bean.
At first, it doesn’t smell like anything, but once it dries down, it’s quite similar to Angel’s Share. During the dry-down, you notice a bit of coffee, and in the end, it’s a blend of vanilla and tonka bean.
