Honestly, I hated it. It gives me nausea and smells like smoked ham all day. Never buy it blind; it’s risky, but luckily I ordered a decant. The longevity on skin is top-notch, too bad the scent just doesn’t work for me. I’ve seen it for very cheap.
Akro with this fragrance, ufff, very good. When you first spray it, it opens strong with a smoke and tobacco note, but then as it settles on the skin, the magic begins: a touch of sweetness from the tonka bean that adds creaminess and something unique 🫠🫠🫠🫠
Although it opens with barbecue snacks (I think the EU banned the liquid smoke additive), as it dries down, tobacco and smoke emerge. It’s a clean smoke, an elegant tobacco shop scent. A simple fragrance, very typical of Akro, faithful to the concept. No olfactory journeys or monstrous performance. It leans masculine, though with today’s girls who wear Ombré Nomade, you don’t know what to say. I feel outdated.
Smoke by Akro is bold and raw; it realistically recreates cigarette smoke and burnt wood. The opening is intense, almost like walking into a room where people just finished smoking. Over time, tobacco and tonka soften it up a bit, but the smoke still dominates. It’s not for everyone, but if you’re looking for something audacious, it stands out.
Smoke starts as smoke and ashtray with a dry tobacco base that soon flips positions, leaving tobacco in the lead. It’s slowly sweetened by tonka bean, almost chocolate. The smoke stays in the background, resulting in something more wearable, elegant, with restrained sweetness and pipe tobacco. The experience is excellent, though you have to endure the rough first few minutes. The evolution is entertaining and worth it. It represents the vice of smoking, moving from wild to complex. Although it’s called Smoke, it’s not overwhelming; it’s balanced, settles softly on the skin leaving a warm trail. For those seeking character, it offers a unique, distinctive, yet wearable experience. Reminds me of leather and wood perfumes like Tom Ford or Byredo, but Smoke stands out for the purity of its smoke. An excellent choice for those looking for personality.
