Another piece I want in my collection. It’s nice to test perfumes like Dionysius on cold skin, with a mystical component and an almost primitive depth. Long-lasting and with undeniable sensual charge, like a magic filter. It might seem hard to use these potions of modern shamans, but the creators have worked with fine elegance combining the primordial and the urban. The risk is reversed: developing amber-vanilla accords with a hypnotic balsamic touch. The opening is brutal; in 10-15 minutes, it feels like I’m in a boxing ring against a superior opponent. Surprised, I ask how to make an opening dish so uncivilized where amber and vanilla fight for supremacy. The competition is an incomprehensible power, guaranteeing a bonfire heat that’s hard to control. At 4-5 hours, the vanilla flows, giving a new animal and spicy character with a trail of oud. Definitely an angel and a devil, not soft, with many facets, but offering a lustful temptation and a pleasant exceptionalism for cold nights that will surround your heart with warmth. Courtesy of Rafasant.

  • I discovered it recently and it’s become essential for me during cold weather. I recommend ordering a decant and testing it on skin. By the way, I’ve tried the 2018, 2019, and 2021 versions, and they’re identical; no reformulations here.

  • Just discovered it and it’s already a must-have for cold weather. I recommend ordering a decant and testing it on skin. I’ve tried the 2018, 2019, and 2021 versions, and they are identical, with no reformulations.

  • Brutal proposal of ambergris and vanilla. The amber is super natural, with a noticeable animal and salty touch. The vanilla tries to calm that sharp opening and succeeds at the start, but in the end, only the amber bomb remains, hitting hard. It’s not for everyone, only for those who love wild ambergris. Original and standout in a house that, in my opinion, sells many cheap copies. Dionysius is worth it, but it gets lost among expensive dupes. I suppose they have a basement full of interns with Excel.

  • Excellent proposal of ambergris and vanilla. Superlative quality in both notes. The amber is super natural, very animal, with a sweat/salty aroma. The vanilla tames and adds warmth to that abrupt opening, succeeding at the start, but in the end, only the amber bomb stands out, hitting hard. It’s not for every nose, only for lovers of wild ambergris. Original and standout in a house that, for me, is all about luxury equivalences. They should rethink their business model. They have too many cheap copies, but among them are proposals worth it, like Dionysius, a pity that they get diluted among expensive dupes. I suppose they have a basement full of interns formulating with the Excel solver.

An exquisite fragrance that, after its first 15 minutes of gummy/plastic notes, reminded me of Rosendo Mateu 5 in several phases. Like Rosendo, Dionisio is undeniably sexy and seductive. It has infinite longevity and a heavy sillage for the first 3-4 hours that gradually softens. If you already own Rosendo, I consider Dionisio redundant. The price is a bit excessive, but if you can afford it, go for it; you won’t regret it.

Exquisite fragrance that, in many phases, reminded me of the famous Rosendo Mateu 5, after passing its first fifteen minutes of rubbery and plastic notes. Like the Rosendo, Dionysius is sexy and seductive beyond measure. It has infinite longevity and a heavy sillage for the first three or four hours, which gradually softens. If you already have the Rosendo Mateu 5, I consider buying Dionysius redundant. The price is a bit excessive, but if you can afford it, go for it. You won’t regret it.

  • This fragrance smells absolutely extraordinary. If you like vanilla and ambergris, you’ll love it. The only thing is that on my skin, it barely lasts or projects. I don’t know if it’s worth the pasta it costs. After two hours, there’s no trace. On Fragrantica, I’ve read that some bottles have poor longevity and sillage; mine is from 2022, but most talk about great longevity. Not my case. Maybe the ambergris in my bottle came from an anemic or depressed whale, which is why it smells less. For anyone with my problem, I found a solution: I bought a scent booster from a YouTuber and it worked wonders. It went from lasting two hours without projection to all day, with people appreciating it. Otherwise, it’s one of the best vanillas I’ve ever smelled.

  • Have to say, this fragrance smells absolutely incredible. If you like vanilla and ambergris, you’ll love it. The only downside is that on my skin, it barely lasts or projects. I don’t know if it’s worth the price because there’s no trace after two hours. I’ve read on Fragrantica that some batches have poor longevity and sillage; mine is from 2022, but most reviews talk about great longevity. Not my case. Maybe the ambergris in my bottle came from an anemic or depressed whale, which is why it smells less. For anyone with the same problem, I bought a booster from a YouTuber and it worked wonders: now it lasts all day and people appreciate it. Otherwise, it’s one of the best vanillas I’ve ever smelled.

  • Wow, I had to come back and write about this. At first, it barely lasted, and my friends had the same issue: “smells good, but you can’t smell it.” After two or three hours, nothing. I tried it with a booster and it worked, but it’s annoying that such a good perfume requires extras for the price. However, after three months, it seems the fragrance evolved by magic. The last few times, it lasted forever: I put it on in the morning, and when I woke up the next day, I could still smell it. People have complimented me, and my partner said that when I got home, the whole room smelled like Dionysius, even though I was out all day. It’s a special and exceptional perfume, top-quality vanilla and ambergris.

  • Incredible perfume, my favorite for evening and night. It leaves a delicious trail that everyone loves. Now that I’ve tried it, I consider it one of my most special scents. My dad has the Montale Arabian Tonka, and yes, they share some DNA, but the difference is astronomical. Dionysius is clearly superior by a landslide; Arabian Tonka smells much more chemical. Longevity is similar, though Montale lasts a bit longer. Either way, both last all day easily.

I have the 2022 version from Fragrancenet. At first, it smelled like trash; I thought the batch was messed up. I bought it in January 2023 and just let it sit, spraying it maybe four times over the first two months. I gave up and forgot about it. Then in July 2023, oh boy, it changed completely! The vanilla and ambergris are now obvious, and the longevity is insane—you put it on and it’s still there the next day. It’s not super projecty, but the sillage is brutal; it fills the room. If you have a recent batch, let it sit for a few months and you’ll see. I know it’s crazy to wait that long, but at least it wasn’t a waste. I tried returning it to Fragrancenet, but Mexican shipping doesn’t send liquids to the US, so I had to keep it, and luckily so.

  • If anyone claims the 2022 Bach doesn’t project or perform, check their nose or question where they bought it. Its projection, sillage, and longevity are identical to previous years without needing those aroma boosters some YouTube reviewers sell. The perfume stands on its own.

  • Whoever says the 2022 Bach doesn’t perform or project… look in the mirror or consider if you bought it from a trustworthy source… projection, sillage, and longevity are just like previous years. And by the way, it doesn’t need those ‘TIMO-boosters’ from any YouTube reviewers I’ve read about in the comments below. The perfume stands on its own.

  • Well, today I received my Dionysius flakon, 2023 edition, batch from March of that year (F070312). Literally, it smells like nothing. Absolutely nothing. Not even 2 hours as some comments below suggested, not even 10 minutes. It’s like spraying water on yourself. We’ll let it settle for a few months as people say you should, but it seems like a total rip-off for the price of this perfume. Just to clarify, it’s authentic. If it improves, I’ll edit my review. That’s what I’m hoping for since I have no way to return it. *EDITED 19/3/2025* I let it settle for a while (almost a year since purchase), and while it’s not as watery as when I first sprayed it, it’s also not the beast many reviewers claim it to be, neither in longevity nor projection or sillage. Let’s just say it’s okay, nothing more.

Absolutely in love! The opening feels a bit chaotic, sometimes bitter and messy, but only for about 15 minutes until it settles into a vibrant, striking salty vanilla on the skin. It’s one of those perfumes that turns heads, lol. Longevity is more than acceptable; it projects well for the first two hours and then lingers on the skin for another 7 hours as you move around. Excellent, for real. Added to my wishlist!

  • First impressions: Just received a decant of Dionysius, and as I always do, here are my initial thoughts. It reminded me a ton of Oud Cadeze by Maison Crivelli. Has anyone else experienced this? A lot, actually. A lot, lot. It’s a sweet, woody fragrance, slightly ambered. It’s a gourmand scent, but nothing cloying. The sweetness is beautifully contrasted by the wood, giving it maturity and just the right amount of complexity. I love Oud Cadeze, so I naturally love this Dionysius. I can’t judge the performance yet; I need to wear it more. If it has good longevity and sillage, I’m buying the full bottle without hesitation.

  • The only downside to this cologne is the price, but if you can afford it, let me tell you that you’re acquiring an olfactory work of art like few others. It’s simply a sweet, vanilla scent that is indescribable, yet it’s a cologne that doesn’t leave anyone indifferent. From its sweet scent to its brutal projection, which is so incredible it sticks to your nose and won’t leave. It’s very hard to find someone who doesn’t like this cologne, though you have to say it can be overwhelming and may become uncomfortable due to its projection, but if you are cautious with the number of sprays, everyone will agree that you’re wearing a work of art as a cologne.

  • My experience with this perfume follows the line of some previous comments. I have a 2023 batch that I just acquired, and initially, it was a complete disappointment in terms of performance. I expected a fragrance with heavy projection and sillage, but I found an aroma where you can definitely feel the high quality of the raw materials, yet it’s incredibly timid… I compare it, for example, to one of my all-time favorites that follows a similar path, HEROD by PDM with a 2020 batch, and there’s no comparison; it leaves me cold. That is how a perfume with these characteristics should perform, at least on my skin… Let’s hope that as a few months pass and oxidation, maceration, etc., occur, it improves as has happened with some other perfumes before me and as other users here point out, because the current performance is far from expectations and certainly from what one expects from a perfume at this price point. I also clarify that it comes from a store considered an official distributor of the house. EDIT: After a few weeks, improvement can be noticed, keep this in mind when rating it right after opening the bottle.

What a beauty! Too bad it turns into trash on my skin. On paper or fabric, it’s a sensual, wild, spicy, slightly woody vanilla. I have nothing but praise for the quality of its ingredients and the blending of its notes; everything is fantastic and wonderful. But here’s the problem: on my skin, it smells like Kirke, also by this brand. I don’t know the reason for this disaster, I don’t understand it, and I wish it weren’t so. Fortunately, I only bought a decant, influenced a bit by the reviews, and even then I had to gift it to someone on whose skin it develops as it should. I recommend it to everyone because on the right skin it’s a fantasy, but after my experience, I’d say only buy a decant. Regarding longevity: as I said, mine was a decant, so I don’t know the production year or batch of the specific bottle. Anyway, it had more than respectable longevity and excellent projection.

  • A magnificent blend of vanilla and ambergris that will blow your mind, without falling into gourmand or boozy territory. It’s worth the price.

  • Tiziana Terenzi has several gems, and this is one of them. Named after Dionysus, the Greek god of ecstasy, passion, and madness, this fragrance is vanilla and ambergris in all its glory, especially in the opening. The opening is curious, with many small nuances coming and going, slightly spicy on the nose, as if all the notes are fighting to rise above the others. After 15-20 minutes, the opening settles into a sweet vanilla that is in no way cloying or sugary; the ambergris gives a sensation between animalic and salty, something dirty but very subtle, with a tiny floral touch and a very subtle oud to add body and a bit more darkness. For some reason, it reminds me of white chocolate, salty vanilla, yet smoky, warm, and spectacular. If it’s not the sexiest perfume I’ve tried, it’s definitely one of them. It invites you to get close and smell it; you want to keep your hand near your nose to keep smelling it. This is my partner’s favorite perfume of all the ones I own and have tried giving to others. It has something that gets inside you and makes you want to keep smelling it. I want to talk about batches; it’s said the best ones are from 2022 and earlier, while others are reformulated and don’t last. I have a vial from 2022, tried a 2023, and have a bottle from 2025—all three are identical, and the longevity is very similar. The 2022 and 2023 openings feel slightly more chaotic, spicier, or sharper on the nose, but once settled, the scent remains the same. Perhaps the 2022 and earlier batches feel a bit more intense because they’ve been macerating for three years or more. Once the 2025 bottles oxygenate, they will also rise in performance and intensity; I’ve lived this myself. When my 2025 bottle arrived, it had good performance, and after a few months, it became a bomb. So, in my opinion, there’s no need to pay more for an older batch bottle. The longevity of my 2025 bottle is about 12-14 hours. As for projection, it’s not a bomb and doesn’t pretend to be one. As I said, it’s a very sexy perfume that invites closeness. What is truly amazing is the incredible trail it leaves when you walk. I see this as very focused for winter/fall, preferably at night, though I have to admit I’ve used it quite a bit in the morning, and it works perfectly. The price? Not expensive, certainly. The RRP is €425. The only thing you can defend is that it’s 100ml of extrait de parfum and performs very well with few sprays, meaning you’ll probably bury the bottle before it’s even finished. And the presentation? Out of this world, as Tiziana is used to giving us. A heavy box with a light inside that justifies the price perfectly. -Scent: 10 -Longevity: 10 -Projection: 8 -Versatility: 6.5
