Smells off. I was expecting something like GGA (since it’s by Morillas and other reviews confirm it), but it’s nothing like it. It starts fresh with ginger and herbs, but quickly turns deeply earthy, like wet vetiver or damp patchouli. If they aimed for a medicinal garden by the name, they nailed it, but it’s more like a flooded garden with soggy soil. The blend also reminds me of something smoky, slightly waxy, or medicinal. In short, curious.
It’s like a Gucci Guilty Absolute without cypress and with a herbal touch. Morillas sometimes doesn’t list leather in the notes, like with Black Tie, but here there’s something magical that makes the earthy vetiver and papyrus accord disappear. It’s linear but pleasant, with a touch more quality than the Absolute. They’re very similar until you test them side by side. The price is excessive, but it remains a leather scent with enough body to be worth trying.
